All women of the church are invited to the meeting to learn about this recovery program in Greensboro. ADULT FELLOWSHIP CASWELL COUNTY TOUR SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 23 RD This trip is a repeat of a trip we made in 2013. It was a very enjoyable and informative trip and many have asked for a second time around. Caswell, the second wealthiest county in North Carolina prior to the Civil War, today is one of the poorest. Many of the homes of the Boom Era (1850s) still stand, some beautifully restored, some vine covered and crumbling. Jack Wagstaff, a native of this area, will be our tour guide. We will visit Rock of Ages Winery in neighboring Person County and have an early lunch nearby at the Flat River Cafe. The restaurant is unique; it is in an adjoining room to a country store that has a wonderful meat department. The food is excellent five star. There was a lengthy article in Our State several years ago praising the food and unique setting. After lunch, we will drive directly to Leasburg, which is in Caswell County. It is a neat village with several nice homes from the 1800s. The first president of Greensboro College was from Leasburg, and his home still stands. From Leasburg, we will travel to Milton, then Yanceyville, making a number of stops to see and hear stories of the past. Departure Time from the church will be 9:30 a.m. Return to the church late afternoon. Bus fare will be collected the day of the trip. Bring cash for lunch and shopping. Please make your reservation by Monday, April 20th by calling Gaynell Faulk at 336-674-5028 or emailing gfaulk2@triad.rr.com.

Get your tickets now because space is limited! It seems that Andy and Barney have a problem. It s only a couple of days until the big Chamber of Commerce dance, and Thelma Lou s cousin, Mary Grace, has come to visit for a few days. SAVE THE DATE FOR THE CHILDREN'S MUSICAL: MAY 31ST: The Good News Cruise: Spending Time Soaking in the SON!...And that is exactly what we will be doing...soaking in the promises and peace of Christ! Please come join us and don't miss an opportunity to have fun experiencing the children's witness to the world as we learn very powerful messages to strengthen faith and grow in love for our Savior such as: We all celebrate when the weather is good but how do we, as Christians, handle the "storms" of life? We know God's truth that He is always with us, He gives us strength in all things. God has blessed you with things much more powerful than the things we can see and touch to guide us in life. Rather than maps we have His HOLY WORD to help stay on course. Instead of a radio to communicate with those on shore we have PRAYER to communicate with God. Like a radar we have the HOLY SPIRIT to guide us. All proceeds from the lunch donations go to the Christian Life Center. Thank you in advance for your support of our children's music program!
