This vaccine was approved by FDA in 2017 for prevention of shingles. In clinical trials, it was more than 90% effective in preventing shingles. The vaccine is given in two doses, 2-6 months apart, they are recommended for adults 50 or older. Brett will share some photos and videos from the trip, how the experience impacted him, and how it will shape the work of the IJM Dayton volunteer team going forward.
