Ministry and More Serving Bloomington/Decatur, IL Week of July 5, 2009 Alysha s House of Hope Don and Linda Winterland started Ministry and More in 2003 to help hurting people with the tangible love of Jesus Christ. The food pantries (Bloomington & Decatur) give food to over 60 clients/week. Sharing Christ is central, & volunteers pray with clients who open their hearts as they are given help feeding their families. M&M also partnered with EWO s Ulrich family to open Alysha s House of Hope (In memory of their daughter). Alysha s House offers shelter and love directed at restoring the lives of broken women. Alysha s House of Hope Praise God for seeing this project open in May, 2009 & for loving volunteers. Pray for support raising for the project. Pray for the women to know Christ as Joyce Ulrich (Director) and staff show them His love. Bloomington Food Bank Praise God for growing His work here in Bloomington. Pray for more Church donations of food. Pray for clients to be open to Christ - like Ashley, who just received Christ recently. Decatur Food Bank Praise God for Brian and Tina taking on the operations of the Decatur pantry. Praise God for such welcome of M&M in this depressed part of town. Pray also for lives to be transformed by Christ - like Andrea, who also received Him recently. Ministry and More (Don & Linda Winterland) www.ministryandmore.com 1107 W. Costa Rica 2009 July 17-24, 2009 Week of July 12, 2009 In January, EWO sent a team to Costa Rica helping ministry teams in La Carpio and Los Guido with church plant/vbs efforts. Now another team is going with the focus of helping the team in Tejarcillos. Rogelio (Pastor of New Life Church) and Neris are joined by Matt & Brooke McLain in the work of bringing Christ to Tejarcillos. Our EWO team will help with projects (painting classrooms, electrical work...), aid in outreach ministries (canvassing neighborhoods, ministering with leaders ), and run a VBS type event on Saturday for the children who are in school during the week. Check out www.kuzdas.com to learn more about the ministry. EWO Team Pray for safety in travel and ministry for the team. Pray that the team would grow closer together and closer to Christ as they serve. Projects Pray for a good turnout to the Saturday VBS event. Pray for Rachel and Bethany as they translate during the events and social times. Pray for good work on school classrooms. Missionary connections Pray for good connections between our ladies and Tejarcillos women at the mother/daughter event (First Saturday of the trip). Pray that the team will find ways to tangibly encourage missionaries Matt & Brooke and Pastor Rogelio & Neris (Provide an evening away for a date night/time away from work for spiritual recharging ). Cherilyn Kennell (above) and Rachel Schlagel (below) on previous trips to Costa Rica. Please pray with us as we go! Josh & Beth Fromme Jayne & Bethany Fisher Cherilyn Kennell Rachel Schlagel

NYC 2009 July 18-24, 2009 Week of July 19, 2009 Spiritual Survey in the Parks NYC Ministries has brought Christians from many churches around the US into NYC to share Christ with the world. In a city of over 8 million people, 180 People Groups are represented. EWO is happy to be sending another team (Part of 350) to meet these people with the Gospel. Some will run Above The Rim / One Touch / Summer Of Fun camps. Others will share the Gospel with the Is There More To Life & The Story booklets. Some will work in Prayer Stations around Central Park and in the Metro. All will experience a full week of intense training and practice in sharing the faith of Jesus Christ. Camps Pray for safety as kids participate in the camps. Pray for camp leaders as they incorporate the Gospel into camp activities. Prayer Stations Pray for God to reveal himself to many! Pray for the team to follow God s leading as they connect with people in need. Spiritual Surveys Pray that the surveys will lead to many conversations which make Christ real to the lost. Pray for the Team to study well in advance and follow the Lord in each conversation. One Touch Soccer Camp From all of us, many thanks for your support and prayers!
