27 Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, Who do people say I am? 28 They replied, Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets. 29 But what about you? he asked. Who do you say I am? Peter answered, You are the Messiah. Mark 8:27-29 So we can name facts about Jesus and his life, but Jesus was more than just a man on Earth. Today, he has a much larger impact on the world. Remember how the peers talked about Jesus? That he is more to them than just a man. He can be a person, an event, or even a place. Think about that as you answer these questions: As kids, we may have only seen Jesus as the picture of a man with a beard. But now that we re older, we may see Jesus in other places and in other ways. Who is Jesus to you? Can he be more than just a man? Where do you see Jesus? In what actions or people or experiences do you see Jesus? Is there any moment in your life where you knew Jesus was with you? What aspects of Jesus confuse you? Is there anything about him that can be difficult to understand? I learned Statements complete one or two of the sentences below: 1) I learned.. 2) I relearned.. 3) I discovered.. 4) I wonder if. 5) I was surprised 7 P a g e
