The Download From God Fall Teaching Session Nov. 13, 2018

: Download From God 11/13/2018 I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8) I. The Special Download to Paul A. Only the Apostle Paul received knowledge of the Church and the Neither the OT prophets or the Apostles knew about the Church/ B. The Church//Resurrection were NOT revealed in the OT Eph. 3:1-10 By special revelation God made known to me the mystery of the church which from the beginning of ages has been hidden C. Paul described the church and rapture as a Mystery = Something previously hidden I tell you a mystery, we will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:51-52) D. Paul s conversion testimony before King Agrippa - Acts 26:15 15 Who are you, lord? I asked. And the Lord replied, I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. 16 Now get to your feet! And tell what I will reveal to you E. Paul spends 3-Years in the Desert Seminary with Jesus as Teacher Gal. 1:15-20 15 But when it pleased God who called me through His grace I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia 18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter 20 (Now concerning these things I do not lie.) F. Paul received direct Revelation from Jesus Gal. 1:12 12 I received my message from no human source, and no human being taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ. 2

II. Paul Passes the Download to the Apostles and the Churches 1 Thess. 4:15-17 15 According to the Lord s word (This is what the Lord taught me about the rapture), we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have died. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught-up (harpozo) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. From then we will always be with the Lord. A. Paul taught the /End times to the other apostles 2 Peter 3:14-16 B. Paul taught the to the churches - Mentioned some 44 times in the NT 1. Three major passages: 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Phil. 3:20-21; 1 Thess. 4:13-18 2. Other Passages 1 Cor. 1:7-8 1 Thess. 2:19 1 Tim. 6:14 Heb. 9:28 Col. 3:4 1 Thess. 5:9, 23 2 Tim 4:1, 8 Heb. 10:25 1 Thess. 1:10 2 Thess. 2:1 Titus 2:13 C. Since the was not revealed in the OT, it s a completely different event than the Second Coming which is taught all through the OT - Dan. 7:9-14 D. God has separate plans for Israel and the church Some Examples: 1. Israel has its own beginning with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jacob s 12 sons 2. The church has it s own beginning on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2), when the Holy Spirit came and began baptizing Church believers into the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:13) 3. Israel also has its own ending at the Second Coming when Christ returns to earth to rescue and redeem Israel s final remnant at the end of the Tribulation 4. The church also has its own ending at the (1 Thess. 4:13-18) when Jesus returns in the air to take His bride back to the Father s House (Jn. 14:1-3) 5. Israel has its own resurrection after the Tribulation Daniel 12:1-2 6. The church has its own resurrection at the (1 Cor. 15:51-53) 3

We believe that, by far, the strongest Biblical evidence is in favor of the Pre-Tribulation position; the occurs before the Tribulation! III. The 7-Year Tribulation is designed for Israel, NOT the Church A. The Tribulation is part of Israel s Calendar It s not meant for the Church The Church is not in the prophesied 70 Weeks of Daniel Daniel 9:24 A period of seventy sets of seven (490 years) has been decreed for your people (Israel) and your holy city (Jerusalem) B. For 7 years, God re-institutes the practices of the OT to complete His work on Israel C. The Tribulation is Jewish in nature Not Church-Oriented Notice the centrality of Israel and Jewish people during the Tribulation: a. The Tribulation is the Time of Jacob s Trouble, Not the church Jer. 30:7 b. The woman that Satan persecutes is Israel, not the church bride Rev. 12 c. The center of world attention is the Holy Place - Israel s Temple Mt. 24:15 d. Antichrist captures the Temple claiming he s god Dan. 11:31; 2 Thess. 2:4 e. There are special instructions for Judea (Mt. 24:16f) but none for the church f. Sacrifice and Oblations will again be practiced in Israel s Temple Dan. 9:27 g. Moses and Elijah return (Mal. 4:5-6) to oversee the Temple worship h. The 12 Tribes are once again signaled out for special ministry Rev. 7 & 14 i. The church is never mentioned in the Tribulation presentation of Revelation 6-19 D. The church must be caught up to the Temple of God in heaven before Christ can judge Israel and begin the final harvest of the Jewish remnant on earth during the Tribulation E. 4 Views: * Pre-Trib * Mid-Trib * Pre-Wrath * Post-Trib *Pan-Trib 4

IV. What is the? A. The greatest promise in the New Testament for the Church 1. The final generation of believers will not see death 1 Cor. 15:51-52 I tell you a mystery, we shall not all die, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye 2. It occurs when the full number of Gentiles is complete Rom. 11:25 Israel has a hardening of heart until the full number of Gentiles comes in B. The church is comprised of all believers from Pentecost to the C. The Holy Spirit began building the church at Pentecost 1 Cor. 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body The church began with Supernatural miracle and anointing of the Holy Spirit Pentecost Church-Age Church-Age believers since Pentecost Body of Christ Tribulation 50 Days Period C. All living and deceased, Church-Age saints meet in the Church in Heaven ( Dead ) Church on Earth ( Living ) 1. The Dead - the dead in Christ will rise first - 1 Thess. 4:16 a. Believers who have died since the Day of Pentecost b. OT and Tribulation saints WILL NOT be involved in the c. OT & Trib. saints are resurrected after the Tribulation Dan. 12:1-2; Rev. 20:4 2. The Living The generation of saints alive in the end times - 1 Thess. 4:16 5

V. Stages of the A. Preparation in Heaven The Order of Descent 1. The Lord Himself vs. 16a a. Christ leaves the Father s right hand for the first time since He was seated b. Christ s high-priestly ministry is completed for the Church 2. Church Saints in Heaven Prepare for their resurrection vs. 14 a. The church of the first-born, registered in heaven Heb. 12:23 b. The dead in Christ will not miss the but will be raptured first! 3. The Archangel Michael (Jude 9) Accompanied by many angels B. Time-Travel Journey to Earth 1. The Lord Jesus, along with the spirits of those believers who have died during the church age, descend from heaven 1 Thess. 3:13 our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones 2. Passing through Satan s Stronghold in the heavenlies Eph. 6:12 12 We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against demonic forces of evil in the heavenly places. 3. When Satan sees the entourage leaving heaven, he ll oppose them when they return 4. How long is the trip to earth? It took Gabriel 3 weeks to reach Daniel Dan. 10:13, 20 5. Order of the Resurrection ü ü ü Jesus the first fruits Deceased, Church-Age Saints Living Church-Age Saints 6

C. Pause in the Atmosphere above Earth vs. 17 17 We who are alive will be caught up (harpazo) to meet the Lord in the air 1. The Lord and his angelic entourage, pause in the air above earth 2. Deceased, church-age saints continue to earth/graves and are resurrected vs. 16b believers who have died will rise from their graves first 3. Will the Graves Burst Open? a. Example of the resurrection of many saints in Jerusalem - Mt. 27:51-53 The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus resurrection and went into Jerusalem and appeared to many people. b. Question: If you re standing in a cemetery, will you see the? 4. The risen saints return back to meet Christ in the air 5. With glorified bodies, the saints now wait with Christ to greet the rest of the church As Jesus and ½ the church wait above earth s atmosphere D. Trilogy of Sounds Announcing the vs. 16 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God Are These Sounds to be taken literally? Rule for interpreting Prophecy, if the plain sense, makes sense, seek no other sense, all other sense is nonsense! ü God s mysterious, solar-powered, invisible, loud-speaker system(?) ü Every believer on earth simultaneously hears the sounds of the rapture ü 3 sounds alert the church to our Lord s return & commands them to form-up to Him 7

1. The Lord Shouts His Command, Come up here! Rev. 4:1 And the voice I heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here" a. Same command to the Two Witnesses - Rev. 11:12 they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up her b. Same command given to Lazarus (Jn. 11:43-44) He (Jesus) cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out c. Jesus is the resurrection and the life - John 11:25 d. Awesome Power of the Word of God - John 5:25 at the voice of the Son of God the dead will live Let Jesus speak into your life Col. 3:16 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly 2. The Voice of the Archangel Michael a. He might shout, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh" Mt. 25:6 Why Bring Michael? b. Michael aides the church s safe removal from earth to heaven 1) He s experienced at passing through enemy territory Dan. 10:13, 21 2) Assuring the church is removed safely, Michael can commence his work on behalf of Israel in the Tribulation Dan. 12:1 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people (Israel), will arise. There will be a time of distress (Tribulation) 3) At the, Michael will command his forces to shield the church 8

5 Biblical Facts about the Archangel Michael 1. Michael is the only one in the Bible called an Archangel Jude 9 The word archangel (archággelos) means chief angel or chief messenger 2. Michael Stands Guard over Israel Dan. 12:1 Daniel s vision describes how the Tribulation will play out for Israel. It is at this time that Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people will arise (Dan 12:1) Gabriel refers to Michael as Daniel s prince (Dan 10:21) for his special responsibilities toward Israel 3. Michael Directly Opposes Satan Jude 9 Michael argued with Satan over the body of Moses. He only says four words in the Bible and they re directed to Satan, The Lord rebuke you 4. Michael is a Military Commander over many angels Rev. 12:7-9 Revelation 12 describes a great war in heaven: Michael and his angels vs. the dragon (Satan) and his angels. Michael expels Satan from heaven in the middle of the Tribulation 5. Michael Battles High-ranking Angels who lead Nations opposing Israel Dan. 10:13, 21 In Daniel 10, while the prophet fasts, Gabriel appears to him 21 days late, and explains the delay: He says the prince of Persia opposed him, and it wasn t until Michael helped him that he could continue his trip to Daniel. Gabriel also says, only Michael supports me against these forces (Dan 10:21) 9

3. The Trumpet Announces the Mysterious Sounds like Trumpets coming across the sky, all over the world! a. The Trumpet is called The Last Trump 1 Cor. 15:52 b. The same trumpet is mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:52; 1 Thess. 4:17; Rev. 4:1 c. Other trumpets are used to announce the Second Coming Isa. 27:13 Gathering Israel at the end of the Tribulation Mt. 24:31 Gather all the saved at the end of the Tribulation d. The Trumpet will be a loud, world-wide blast, enabling all living believers to hear it simultaneously 1) Similar to the trumpet at Mount Sinai Ex. 19:16, 19 The trumpet sounded long, and grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice 2) The trumpet was so loud, they begged it to stop He, 12:18-19 e. 1 Cor. 15:52 says the dead are raised by the blast of the last trump f. Will unbelievers hear the sounds of the? 1) They hear sounds but won t see anything leading to confusion Acts 9:7 7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 2) God spoke from heaven, people heard but didn t understand Jn. 12:29 The crowd that heard said it thundered. Others said, an angel spoke 10

7 Feasts of Israel Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah : Hidden in the Feast of Trumpets 1. The Trumpet for the Feast signaled the field workers to stop working, rise from the field and come to the temple. It marked the end of the harvest and the time to worship 2. The At the sound of the trumpet, believers will stop, cease the harvest, rise from the earth and worship in heaven 3. During the feast, the trumpet is blown a total of 100 times, with the final horn blast lasting longer than the first 99 blasts 4. The This final blast of the Feast Trumpet pictures the Last Trump of the which Paul mentions in 1Cor 15:52, at the last trumpet. 5. Paul calls the Trumpet, the last trumpet (1 Cor. 15:52) because it heralds the end of the church age. Our work is finished. Time is up for the Body of Christ! The church bride is now complete and it s time to worship the King. E. Living Saints Transformed and d 1. Paul assumed he would be alive at the time of the vs. 17 We who are alive and remain will be caught-up a. Distinguishing feature = Imminence = At any moment (No signs) b. Imminence sets the apart from the Second Coming (Many signs) 11

2. A Nano-second transformation (1 Cor. 15:51) the blink of an eye 3. Key Point: The is the Resurrection for the Church 4. 4-Fold Design The believer s Glorified Body - 1 Cor. 15:42-44 42 The body sown is perishable, it s raised imperishable; 43 it s sown in dishonor, it s raised in glory; it s sown in weakness, it s raised in power; it s sown a natural body, it s raised spiritual ü perishable No more sickness and death PTL! ü dishonor No more shame because of sin Amen!! ü weakness No more weakness in temptation Amen!!! ü natural No more limits to time-space-matter Halleluiah! When asked what appeals to me about heaven, it isn t the streets of gold or the gates of pearls: it s the absence of sin I m tired of sin. 5. A body like Jesus 1 John 3:2 2 When Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is a. Phil. 3:21 - He will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body b. Permanent rest and relief for believers c. This is the glorious manifestation of believers Rom. 8:18-19 6. No Marriage in Heaven - Mt. 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 7. Leaving everything behind 2 Peter 3:11 11 Since everything is going to be destroyed, what holy lives you should live 12
