PARISH NURSE: Parish Nurse hours are Mondays from 3-4:30 PM. Flu Season is here so get your flu shot and remember to cover your cough, stay home if you are ill, and wash your hands frequently. CHURCH DIRECTORIES may be picked up in the church office. ADULT EDUCATION The Fall Adult Education offering is a 7-session series called Animate Faith. Each session includes a shor t video and time for discussion on God, Religion, Jesus, Salvation, Cross, Bible, and Church. Thursdays at 2 PM in the Patio Room. Participant books are $15. All are welcome. ALL SAINTS SUNDAY, TODAY we celebrate the baptized people of God, living and dead who make up the Body of Christ. With thanksgiving we remember all the faithful departed, Zion members, and those whose funerals have been at Zion since the last All Saints Sunday, Extra candles will be available to light in memory of loved ones whose funeral was held elsewhere. THE WOMEN OF ZION will meet November 8,2016 at 12:00 Noon. The Executive Board at 11:00 AM and the Bible Study Leaders after the meeting. Duties for Nov.--Program: Sarah- THANKOFFERING, Hostess: Dorcas, Hospitality: Elizabeth, and Visitation: Anna at TRCare Center. PIE AUCTION Nov. 20 - mark your calendar now to attend this event between services on Nov. 20. Please consider making a pie (or two) to donate for this fund-raiser supporting Zion youth attending the National Youth Gathering in 2018. A sign-up form will be in the church narthex after services or call Kittie at 681-3449, Marilyn at 681-1775 or Glenice at 681-4472. NEW MEMBER SUNDAY will be December 4th. If you are not currently a member of Zion and would like to be, please let the church office know as soon as possible. 30 DAYS-30 WAYS TO BE A NEIGHBOR Lutheran Social Services drive to raise awareness about out aging neighbors. Donation packets can be picked up in the church office. For each day of November a small donation can be added for the drive. Some examples: Donate.25 cents if you can do your own grocery shopping, or Donate.25 cents if you can see well enough to read a newspaper, or Donate.50 cents if you can mow your own lawn.

Zion s LWR Quilting Workshop meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 1-4PM. Please consider joining us. We work on quilting and /or preparing the various kits to send overseas. It's that time of year again! Operation Christmas Child is in full swing! I would like to encourage everyone to help fill at least one box, or if you would like to donate items you can do that also. There are drop off boxes throughout the church for your items. Money donations are also welcomed to help with shipping cost, or we can use the money to buy items to fill more boxes. A small shoebox can have a big impact on a child. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing lives through the power of a simple gift. Gift Suggestions: TOYS: Include items that children will immediately embrace such as dolls, toy cars, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc. SCHOOL SUPPLIES: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. NON-LIQUID HYGIENE ITEMS: toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, etc. ACCESSORIES: t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries), etc. A PERSONAL NOTE: You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. If you include your name and address, the child may be able to write back. DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans. They provide a volunteer to come into the home to assist a loved one while the Caregiver can run errands, attend appointments or just get some needed time away. MORNING OUT LSS CAREGIVER SUPPORT/ DAY RESPITE PROGRAM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Every 1st and 3rd Monday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This service provides a safe enjoyable environment for your loved one (age 60+) so you are able to rest, shop, take care of health needs, or run errands.
