PARISH NURSE PROGRAMS Free Blood Pressure Screening & Nurse Consultation Tuesday, May 15, 2018 8:30-10:30 am Church Hall Fit Forever Chair Exercise Program The Fit Forever Chair Exercise Program meets Tuesdays, at 9 am in the Church Hall. This free program is a workout at 3 different levels, for men and women 55 and older. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office at 669-7444. Start saving your books! The next 4 week Bereavement Support Group will meet on Wednesdays beginning June 6th. Meetings will be held at 7:00 pm in the Parish Activity Center in Room 10. No pre-registration is required. Blood Drive Thursday, June 14th 2 pm-7 pm - Parish Activity Center The Knights of Columbus Council # 12988 of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish is sponsoring a blood drive to assist the American Red Cross. It is recommended that donors schedule their appointments rather than walking-in by either visiting the Red Cross web site at www.redcrossblood.org, clicking on Enter Sponsor Code, entering sponsor code 8088, and following the site s instructions; or, by calling 1-800-448-3543. Last year, as a parish team, we raised almost $1,000 for New Horizons/Families In Transition! Join us this year! It s great exercise, a great cause, a great family activity and lots of fun! For Grades 9 12 (Candidates for Confirmation are asked to participate in a minimum of seven sessions of their choosing) 1st and 3rd Sundays Starting September 16, 2018 1:00 2:30 p.m. For Grades 7 & 8 (Candidates for Confirmation are asked to participate in a minimum of seven sessions of their choosing) 2nd and 4th Sundays Starting September 23, 2018 1:00 2:30 p.m. Immediate Sacramental Prep For High School Youth and parents/sponsors: Saturday, January 12, OR March 16, 2019 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For Jr. High School Youth and parents/sponsors: Saturday, January 26, 2019 OR April 13, 2019 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A signupgenius will be sent out in advance so you can choose what date works best for you. Also, if you have children in high school and junior high, feel free to have them participate in one of these sessions at the same time. Process leading up to Immediate Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. 1. Register your child(ren) for the school year, family faith, or summer program as you have in the past. Please make sure you provide us with an up-to-date email address as that is the primary mean we communicate information. 2. Prior to participating in the Immediate Preparation One-Day Seminar, ensure your child(ren). *Regularly attends Mass *High school and junior high school youth participate in at least SEVEN LIFE TEEN, EDGE or Family Faith sessions/activities (Catholic School Students, we ask that you participate in at least TWO) *participates in at least ONE retreat experience (we will provide you a list of options throughout the course of the year) *Chooses a sponsor and have the sponsor complete and return a sponsor form *If requested, please provide a copy of your child s baptismal certificate Watch the bulletin for more details as they emerge. 4
