ANNOUNCEMENTS Asheville David and I were Blessed to be able to attend family camp. Someone from home asked me what my favorite part was from camp, and I first said Bacon, Bacon, Bacon. But then followed that up with, Really, the best part was seeing the children seeking the Lord. There were several experiences reported. Thank God for all He did at camp and also for the added benefit of being with our Church family. We Are Blessed to have such a large family of God. It is nice to see some of the same faces year after year and see how they have grown in the Lord from one year to the next. Thank God for helping in all areas of family camp. Upon successfully completing camp we were then able to stay for State Convention. Enjoyed the music, and so many songs were a Blessing to me personally. Got encouraged in the auxiliary boost and messages also. Again, an added benefit to be with Church family. Several weeks before leaving for camp and convention we had a situation that we needed God to deliver in. Had asked several to help Pray. Was Trusting God for the deliverance and can now report to you that while we were gone from home for camp and convention, the Lord was already working it out and on the 31st of July the situation was taken care of. To God be the Glory, Great Things He has done!!! By the Grace of God, He is able to keep us and help in time of need. Stay Encouraged in the Lord! Day of Celebration---The Church of God in Asheville, NC was organized on November 4th, 2007. In celebrating 8 years We will have a special service on November 8, 2015 I look forward to having as many here as we can so we can get to know them better and to be a blessing to them. If you have any questions or testimonies about missions, please call me! God bless you all and thank you for loving and giving to missions!! Sherry Adkins, NC WMB Director

Victory Leaders Band Sis. Lovie Lambert Praise the Lord for a Wonderful Youth Retreat this year. Our theme was Let it Be Real. Bro Christopher Anders was our guest speaker and was anointed with great messages. Our focus was to stress the importance of our life being the real deal in front of others, as there is no time for us to have a form of godliness. A form of godliness does not benefit anyone, it only hurts everyone! There will be people in this world that will approach us because we have leaves. When they do, we better have fruit on that tree. When Jesus found leaves only and no fruit, He cursed that tree to die! That tree was never given a chance again. How many times have we only had leaves and no fruit? The VLB s were reminded of this story from the book of Mark. Jesus would not have approached the tree if it was without leaves. He would have kept walking looking for another tree with leaves but because it had leaves, it was suppose to have fruit. Jesus didn t plead with the tree when He seen it was fruitless, He simply cursed the tree. Jesus has given us all the tools we need to grow and have FRUIT. The leaves do not benefit the tree but only a sign of fruit. VLB s, lets show forth fruit this year. There is too many trees with leaves but we need to be different. We need to be able to offer something to a lost and hungry world! They need fruit! Thank you to all the VLB s that came out and made the Retreat possible. I special thanks to all the little older than VLB age that came out to help prepare food, lead worship, work the altar, and help transport everyone. I say it all the time NC is the best!! God Bless the VLB s! Total number at Family Camp this year 156. (27 of those were JR Campers.) 32 Saved 21 Sanctified 2 filled with the Holy Ghost 1 Healed 1 Accepted their calling TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!
