COLOR ME! Welcome to Community Baptist Church! ~CARING IN COMMUNITY~ Sunday, March 26, 2006 Did you know that God designed camels perfectly for survival in harsh climates? They have special pads on their feet so they don't burn, and a nose that closes to keep sand out. They also have large humps to store fat to make water. Pastor Joell Haugan Lord, I Lift Your Name On High In Moments Like These Make Me A Blessing MISSIONS Colin & Karen Godwin BELGIUM 1. Please pray for Belgium as a country - that the hearts of Belgians would be touched by the Spirit of God, and that they may be led to Jesus. Also this month is our Belgian Baptist Union's annual meeting with various votes. May God lead in all this. 2. This month we'll be baptizing a couple who became Christians last summer. They are a beautiful example of God entering their lives and transforming them in deep ways. Please pray for both Genevieve and Fabian, as they are overwhelmed with God's work in them and want to deal openly and honestly with God's transformations. 3. Our church-planting work is undergoing changes and challenges as we move some individuals into leadership positions in the church for the first time. Please also pray for Remy (and Rachelle), the pastoral intern in our church-plant, that God would protect them as they take on increasing responsibilities. 4. Please pray for us as a family of six with all the issues we deal with in another culture and as a pastoral family. Closing Prayer: Pastor Joell Haugan Often, in the midst of great problems, we stop short of the real blessing God has for us, which is a fresh vision of who He is. ~Anne Graham Lotz NEEDED! We are looking for a CD player that can be used with a stereo system. If you have one, please contact Pastor Joell.

Welcome to Alexis Penner, who has moved back to Swift Current! EMAIL FROM PATENAUDES After almost three years of being off line we are now up and running again. We moved from Leduc about a year and a half ago. We moved to a great acreage in the country. We all love it. Jonah is going to a great little country school. He's in kindergarten now. Garret is at home with us still. Rick has been off on stress leave from the RCMP since November. I'm busy working in the special care unit at the Wetaskiwin hospital. I am going to start my MSN on line from the U of Phoenix. Just last week we found out that Jonah may have Asperger's Syndrome. This is a high functioning form of autism, as I understand it. All in all we are all trying to get by with God's help. So there's the short story of the last three years. If you could, please tell everyone we say hello. Please pray that we all will get through the next little while with our sanity intact! The current state of things is fairly daunting. How are things there? We talk about Swift Current often and really miss it and our friends there a lot. Please contact Dale Brooks or the church office this week if you could help with this. SERMON NOTES THANK YOU! Thank you so much to everyone for all the prayers, gifts, support, and encouragement this past year! Also, a very special thank you to all those who participated in or donated to the Country Church benefit concert last Sunday! Your support was overwhelming, and deeply appreciated. Jeremy Wilson Southwest Family Life Centre had our annual Spring Gala at the Trailview Alliance Church on March 17. We want to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the evening, and those who supported us in other ways, but could not make it. We raised $18,000 in individual and corporate sponsorship and also raised awareness for the Centre. We pray that the message of hope we have in Christ Jesus that was shared was and is a blessing to you in your walk with the Lord! Southwest Family Life Centre
