PRAYER & PRAISE After the morning service, if you have prayer needs, please visit room 1 on the north side of the sanctuary. Rev. Lee Koning continues to be resting comfortably under hospice care. Ken Van Byssum, Jr., had some scans last Friday and has doctor s appointments this week to decide the next steps in his treatment for esophagus cancer. He continues to have some difficulty getting food down. Pray for increased strength for Ken, for good results from the tests, and for a good treatment plan. Keep Garry Wieringa in prayer as he has another round of chemo treatments this week. Remember to pray for those who are unable to join us in worship. Today we think of Bill Finniak who lives in Saratoga Grove. ANNOUNCEMENTS A New Members Orientation Class will be offered next Sunday, September 28, after morning worship. This is an opportunity to learn more about Faith, to meet others who are newer to our church, and to talk about next steps for membership. Talk to Pastor Greg to attend. Our mom s ministry, Mom2Mom meets most 2 nd and 4 th Thursdays, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Excellent childcare provided. Mom2Mom provides a beautiful and nurturing environment where Titus 2 relationships are encouraged the older women mentoring the younger women. This year, we will be reading the book, Desperate: Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe, by young mother, Sarah Mae, and her mentor, Sally Clarkson. Desperate is the story of one young mother s trials and one experienced mentor s priceless exhortations. Desperate is not a book about despair, nor is it a rule-laden mothering manual. Dismissal is at 11:45 AM to the Fellowship Hall.
