ICS Chess Teams An amazing congratulations goes out to the ICS chess teams! They represented our school with good manners and great sportsmanship. The Junior team finished with silver medals, the Intermediate and Senior teams finished with Bronze medals. MVP medals were given out to Kyle Zettler and Ethan Rogers. Well done ICS! Team members included: Isaac Montag, Damion Brooke, Brooke Lorentz, Kyle Zettler, Ethan Smith, Graham Montag, Hayden Oberle, Ethan Rogers and Madison Bester. Mlle Turcotte s class participated in an engineering/team building activity within their class. They made a design of a boat and had to construct it out of cardboard. They presented their design in front of their classmates. Judges were on hand to pick the best design. The best design was able to hold weights and float in water. The teams also had to have spirit. Two teams were chosen to participate in a competition held at the community center in Wingham. One of our teams placed 3rd out of 31 teams and have been asked to participate in the provincial championships held in Waterloo on March the 2nd. Team #1 consisted of Eden Beglaw, Maggie Bujold, Larissa Grubb and Emma Bezeau. They placed 20th out of 31 teams. Team #2 consisted of Andréa Barry, Hannah Metcalfe, Keegan Fischer and Nick Holman. They placed 3rd out of 31 teams.
