We are going to observe a Blessing of the Church Leaders during all services on Sunday, January 7 th. This blessing will include all Committee leaders and members, Sunday School teachers, nursery workers, small group leaders, ushers, greeters, guides, UMM group leaders, each UMW group leader, staff, praise band members, bells and choir members, those who serve as district and conference leaders and anyone who serves in a helping capacity to point people to Jesus. Please attend during your normal service. On Sunday, Jan 7th, our Girl Scouts will be having a fundraiser to benefit the Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary in Hubert and will provide information about the Sanctuary. They will have a table set up outside between Bldgs 2 & 3 following the services. Cash or checks are accepted. Checks should be made payable to Girl Scout Troop 98. The six-week course is an overview of the history of Faiths in the New World & how they work together (or not) in a unique diverse culture. Jim Brewster, retired UM pastor, former adjunct instructor, Ancient Messiahs and Modern Cults at UNCW will teach the classes. Sunday classes, Jan 14-Feb. 18 are at 9:45 a.m., Room 35, lower level, Bldg 2. An identical session will be on Thursdays, Jan. 18-Feb. 22 at 4:00 p.m., same room. It is not necessary to pre-register.
