Newsletter January 2019 Vol. 17, No. 1 My St. Mark s Family, Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe, happy, and blessed holiday season. We have celebrated Christmas and welcomed the Christ child into our lives and hearts all over again. Now the opportunity of a new year begins. We are going to spend some time visioning for the future this winter and spring. Where is God calling St. Mark s in the near future? By 2025, what will our community look like and how will St. Mark s be prepared to serve our neighbors? What are our hopes and dreams for our future? And most importantly, how will we discern God s dreams for our church? Please be in prayer and also be on the look out for ways you can offer your ideas! God s future is always brighter, greater, and more amazing than we can imagine. Our job is to have the faith to live into it! As for me, I plan to risk doing as John Wesley proposed: Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can! Only God s LOVE can heal this troubled world with the promise and hope that Jesus came to bring us. Let s work together to share it. God bless us every one!!
