Pick-up has been moved to the door along Walnut Street (near the outside classroom). When picking up, a parent must walk to the door and physically sign their child out. Please note that on Fridays, afterschool care will run only until 4:00 pm and pick up on that day will be the main office door. IF chess club is canceled for that Friday, there will be NO afterschool care. Parents may drop their children off in the morning at 7:50 am unless other arrangements have been paid. Now that the cash ticket fundraiser is well underway, it is time to start planning the next big fundraising event -- the Cash Bash! The first planning meeting will be Monday, November 14 at 6:00 in the CDT library. As the old saying goes "many hands make light work," and we could definitely use more hands! Some commitments are just the day of the event while others are a bit longer. To find out more about the various ways you can help, please plan to attend the meeting. If you have questions or ideas but cannot attend, contact Kim Woodley at reeseaaronmom@yahoo.com. Picture Make-Up Day: School picture retakes will be Monday, November 14 th at 8:30 a.m. If your child was absent on the original picture day or you sent back a request for a retake, you will have an opportunity to be photographed.

Please make sure your family s name is indicated on the back, as it will hang on our trees for years to come! Ornaments can be dropped off in the main office. Virtue of November: Stewardship- Returning to God the first fruits of your time, talent and treasure Through prayerful listening, we begin to hear God calling us to use our time, talent, and treasure in order to build His kingdom here on earth. To determine His call for us, it is necessary to consider how we live out the following: CHRIST IN MY LIFE Do I give thanks to God each day and encourage my children to do the same? Do I plan quiet time daily for prayerful conversation with God? Do I seek Jesus at least weekly (if not more Frequently) in the Eucharist? Do I recognize God as the source of all the blessings in my life? Do I openly tell family and friends of God s goodness? Do I humbly ask God to show me His will for this day? Cultivating a relationship with our God is the essential first step toward practicing being good stewards. By making Him our center, we will recognize His guidance, as we discern how to evidence generosity of Spirit. Through sharing our time, talent and treasure with others in this life (not for personal gain or recognition) for His glory, we are evidencing Stewardship. Let us protect Christ in our Lives, so that we can protect others, so that we can protect creation. -Pope Francis Look for the brochure, Pope Francis, A new call to Stewardship in next week s brown envelope.
