February is Black History Month or African Heritage Month in Canada // The United Church of Canada celebrates the many contributions of Black people to Canadian society and to the United Church. Recent heightened racial tensions in North America have called communities of faith in Canada and around the world to recommit to antiracism and anti-oppression work. During Black History Month, we acknowledge the struggles, contributions, and achievements of Black Canadians, knowing that the more these stories are shared, the more we will come to know one another. (from united-church.ca) Income Tax Receipt Pick-up // Tax receipts for 2018 offerings to Westminster United Church have been prepared. Receipts are available for pick up in the Narthex on Sundays (February 10 & 17) or from the office until February 19.
