Jim Carlson Joint House/Senate Subcommittee on Claims Subcommittee Minutes Monday, March 20, 2017 State Capitol, Room G3 6:00 p.m. Chair Anderson called the meeting of the Joint House/Senate Subcommittee on Claims to order at 6:01 p.m. A quorum was present. Jason Kuenle, Senior Assistant Revisor with the Office of the Revisor Statutes, served as counsel to the subcommittee. Rep. Quam MOVED approval of the April 12, 2016 meeting minutes. There were no Rules or Procedures Changes. Jason Kuenle presented information on two claims not being heard: An exonerated claim was submitted following the claim deadline. It is therefore recommended that the claim be held over until next year. The Wright-Becker Counties claim is currently being addressed in other legislative actions and is also recommended to be held over. Claims being heard against the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) - Jason Kuenle presented the claims being made against the Department of Natural Resources: 1. Testified on the Dean Dixon claim: Dean Dixon, claimant John T. Peterson, Attorney for the claimant Steve Colvin, Deputy Director, Ecological and Water Resources Division, DNR Rep.
