But when we call on Jesus, all things are possible mounting on wings like eagles, watching mountains fall, being assured that He will move heaven and earth to rescue us when we call. God of the possible, I thank you for your grace. I am in awe of your power. I rejoice that your grace and your power make you the God of all possibility.

Croft Words Forwarded by Pastor Captivated by Grace For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16 A homeless pit bull now named Eisenhower "captivated audiences with two days worth of activity on the Eisenhower Expressway" in Chicago. He dodged traffic for two days before being rescued by an animal protection charity. How does a homeless dog "captivate" a city? It means people's attention was riveted as they watched the news reports; they became fans of the dog, pulling for him to stay safe. They devoted time to talking about the dog and expressing concern. The same could be said about the apostle Paul when he was captured and captivated by the grace of God. He had been a persecutor of Christ and His church, but the very one he persecuted reached out to him with love and forgiveness. Paul never got over being a recipient of the grace of God; he remained a "captive" of God's grace the rest of his life. He said, "Woe is me" if I do not fulfill the purpose for which grace was extended to me. Are you captivated by God's grace? Give thought this week to what God has done for you and how evident your "captivity" is to those around you. God's grace becomes irresistible over time. Christian doctrine is grace, and Christian conduct is gratitude. J. I. Packer Recommended Reading Acts 9:1-6 *David Jeremiah

Scripture Reading Psalm 14 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? Who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge. 7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. The Holy Bible

As God s messenger, I give each of you this warning: Be honest in your estimate of yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ s body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job teaching. If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Don t just pretend that you love others, really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.
