February 2010 The Red Door St. Andrew s Episcopal Church 733 State Route 41 Washington Court House, Ohio 43160 The Reverend Gayle Hansen Browne, Vicar EPISCOPAL 101 CLASSES BEGINNING FEBRUARY 21 & 24 EPISCOPAL 101 is a series of five classes designed to help you learn more about the Episcopal Church. Each class will include a presentation by the vicar and informal discussion. The course will address such questions as: What does it mean to be an Episcopalian? What do Episcopalians believe? How is the Episcopal Church organized? WHO IS IT FOR? If you are new to the Episcopal Church and would like to know more about it, this series is for you. If you would like to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, this course is required preparation. If you are already Episcopalian and are preparing to become a Eucharistic Visitor, Eucharistic Minister, or Lector, this course is required. Bishop Breidenthal recently sent a memo regarding the devastation in Haiti. The Episcopal Diocese in Port-au-Prince has requested our prayers and any financial contributions we can make. Over the next several weeks we will be collecting funds from parishioners that will be used in two ways: immediate health and food relief or long-term rebuilding of the Episcopal Church and Diocesan buildings. Please consider donating to one of these funds. Make checks out to Episcopal Relief and Development and in the memo portion, indicate Initial Relief in Haiti or Long-term rebuilding in Haiti. I am now a happy camper, thanks to the great Christmas present given to me by my St. Andrew s family. It is hard to describe the feeling I get when I come home to a clean house. I feel calm, de-stressed and cheerful. You have made my life good in so many ways and now, because of your kind cleaning service coupons, my house is good, as well! She is currently receiving therapy and she and her doctor hope she can return to work within the next six months. Rusty Watson is Dianna s uncle, so while he was working in Florida, Dianna began bring Phillip Weller to church. While recovering from her third surgery, Dianna realized something was missing in her life and feels that she has found that something with us at St. Andrew s.
