Gnosticism Spiritual things are good. Material things are evil. Docetism Jesus humanity was not real. He only appeared to have a physical body. Cerinthus Jesus was just a man and the spirit descended on him at his baptism in the form of a dove and left him before the crucifixion. 1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life Luke 24:39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. 1 John 1:2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us 1 John 1: 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. Everyone is a sinner. Romans 3:10-12 As it is written: None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. Romans 3:22b-23 For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The outcome of being a sinner is death. Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death. Jesus died for our sin. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Fellowship with the Father is through his Son Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. A place of biblical fellowship is a place where you should never feel alone. where you should never feel inferior, second class, left out. Have equal concern for each other (I Corinthians 12:25) Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you... (Romans 15:7) Stop passing judgment on one another (Romans 14:13). In humility consider others better than yourselves (Philippians 2:3). Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another... (I Peter 5:5; Eph. 5:21) Honor one another above yourselves. (Romans 12:10) where you are allowed to ask questions. Instruct one another. (Rom 15:14) Teach...[one another] (Col 3:16) where you are encouraged. Encourage one another. (Hebrews 10:25; 1 Thess. 4:18; 5:11) Build each other up...(i Thess. 5:11) Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. (Eph 5:19) Spur one another on toward love and good deeds. where you should never be asked to serve or give because you are already serving and giving. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others... (I Pet 4:10) Serve one another in love. (Gal 5:13) Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. (I Pet 4:9) When you come together to eat, wait for each other. (I Cor. 11:33) Wash one another s feet. (John 13:14...where you don t hold grudges. Bear with each other... (Colossians 3:13) Forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. (Colossians 3:13; Eph. 4:32) Be patient, bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2) Be kind and compassionate to one another... (Ephesians 4:32) Live in harmony with one another... (I Peter 3:8; Rom. 12:16) Be at peace with each other. (Mark 9:50) Confess your sins to each other... (James 5:16)...where your sin is confronted. Admonish one another (Colossians 3:16) Do not lie to each other... (Colossians 3:9) If you keep on biting and devouring each other...you will be destroyed by each other. (Galatians 5:15) Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:26) Do not slander one another. (James 4:11) The Bible Chapel Page 5
Don t grumble against each other... (James 5:9) where you are cared for and prayed for. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love... (Romans 12:10) Carry each other s burdens... (Galatians 6:2) Pray for each other. (James 5:16) where you are loved. Love one another... (John 13:34, 35; 15:12, 17; Rom. 13:8; 1 Thess. 4:9; 1 John 3:11, 23; 4:7, 11, 12; 2 John 5) Love one another deeply, from the heart.
