Usually back in school you are given a graded aptitude test and an accompanying list of career choices. Supposedly your interests, combined with your aptitude, will point you to what seems to be the most likely vocational choices for you, and one in which you have the highest chance of succeeding. If you are anything like most people, you probably received the results of your test and immediately looked up each of the career options that you were given straight away. No doubt, you wanted to see what the average yearly income was for each career choice. You then, most likely, took the top limit from the sheet and began to imagine and dream about your life and lifestyle as an adult using your limited knowledge of the way the world works as a high school teenager. Most likely, this created in your mind a certain self-limitation that you have carried with you the rest of your life. It s not bad for some people, who in real life, perform much better than they did on this arbitrary test, administered by a nameless career councilor at their public school, one day back in tenth grade. Those who pursued the recommended career path and reached the recommended maximum income limit, often felt as though they had made it in the world. Some of them skated through life feeling successful, while never actually knowing or testing what there true potential was. Then there were those who followed this advice but never actually met the recommended income-limit suggested by the test, and felt as if they were perpetual failures everyday for the rest of their lives. This is the saddest scenario by far, because if you could go back in time and look at one of these tests today, you would probably find that many, if not most of the careers listed back then do not even exist anymore. This just goes to show you how little they mean. For some people it wasn t the test that created self-imposed limitations. It could have been a parent, teacher, or someone else they respected, who said something to them that cemented in their mind, a limitation. Most people have some pre-conceived limits to what they believe they can accomplish, the standard of living they believe they deserve, or the career options they believe are suitable for them. Do you have any self-imposed limitations lurking in your mind? Why? History reminds us again and again of how truly awesome the ability of humanity is to buck conventions and conventional thinking, to do what has never been done, think what has never been thunk and sing what has never been sung. The human spirit is not confined to conventions and no one (I don t care how you were raised) is limited to or tied to the predetermined limitations of anyone that has come before. Einstein was a terrible student as a child and went on to be revered as one of the preeminent physicists and thinkers of his generation and the many generations that followed. You also should be a little familiar with Roger Bannister from watching our video course. He was the man who first broke the elusive four-minute mile when most athletes and even many in the medical community believed it was impossible, if not dangerous. We all know today that the four-minute mile is not only possible but it is a standard benchmark now for Olympic runners. Especially since Eamonn Coghlan has proved that even people over forty years old can break the four-minute mile! What does that tell you about any preconceived limitations you may hold? There is also Jim Hines who finally broke the 100 meter 10 second sprinting barrier, and held that title for 15 years. Now that title too, is being routinely broken at each Olympics. Those of us old enough to remember can never forget the fuzzyheaded Russian who back in 1976 (and throughout the early eighties) was weight lifting more than anyone believed the human body could sustain! His records have also since been broken. All of these are lessons in exceeding insurmountable limitations and raising the bar on what people believe is possible. They are also examples of the human spirit providing another candidate to step-up to the plate and one-up the record holder. These are not examples of supernatural miracles. To make that assumption would be a disservice to these hero s accomplishments. Each person mentioned above, overcame their obstacle through blood, sweat, tears, training, hard work, determination and probably more than a little faith in themselves. You undoubtedly have the same potential in yourself. I m not asking you to believe in the supernatural. If in the course of my videos, I tell you that you could drink from a glass of water sitting far out of reach, on a table, way on the other side of the room, without ever touching it. Then, you undoubtedly could! AncientSecretsOfKings.com 5
You will accomplish this extraordinary feat not because all of a sudden you will somehow miraculously possess some superhuman and unnatural ability, to levitate glasses of water across great distances to your lips. No. If you successfully drink from this elusive glass, it will be because I will have given you either a straw long enough to reach the glass or the means to find or make one, plus two other essential factors. The factors, which you will need to provide are a dry, throat-cracking thirst, to change your current condition and the ability to bury your preconceived limitations long enough to let me show you what you can really accomplish with some new skills, that I ll teach you, with some real dedication and perseverance on your part. Combined, I believe that you and I can break down old barriers and unlock more of your potential than you ever dreamed possible. Life is too short to be pinned down by convention, and trading your time for money rarely even gets you a gold watch at the end of a career working for someone else. Get rich quick schemes are for the gullible who are destined to line the pockets of charlatans who prey on the lazy and greedy. However, those who seek sustainable measured goals, and achieve those goals using unconventional outside the cubicle thinking that can achieve wonders, and if they continue to set higher goals, as celebration for each achievement, they can reach even further. I hope you join me on an adventure to achieve the incredible. See you next month, as we get into the nuts-and-bolts of building your own liberating business plan, the faster smarter and better way!
