4 We pray for all who have been called to be workers in God s harvest, searching for the lost and loving them into the kingdom. We pray for those who teach God s love, both by word and by the way they live. Here I am, Lord: ready for your service! We pray for those in authority and in positions of power, that under their leadership there may be mutual respect, integrity and justice. We pray for discernment to see where injustice needs righting and when we need to speak out. Here I am, Lord: ready for your service! We pray for families suffering poverty or financial difficulties, for families full of tension and disagreement, and for families coping with grief or separation. We pray for the extended families represented here. We pray for better awareness of how our behaviour affects others. Here I am, Lord: ready for your service! We pray for those who have been working all night and all who work long hours in poor conditions. We pray for those who have no work and feel rejected. We pray for any resisting what God is calling them into. Here I am, Lord: ready for your service!
5 We pray for those who have died and those who grieve for the loss of their company. We ask for the opportunity to prepare for death by the way we live from now on. Here I am, Lord: ready for your service! We thank you for the way you show us ourselves and still accept us with love. COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR Christ Church will be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year walk this year! The Coldest Night of the Year is on Saturday, February 23, 2019. CNOY is a family-friendly national walk-a-thon that helps raise funds for charities that serve hungry, homeless and hurting people in Amherst, and in 136 communities across Canada. The walk can be 2 km or 5 km. We are looking for people who would like to participate in the walk, and people who will sponsor the walkers! Talk to Will for more information. Do you have what it takes to be the next Brad Pitt?...Do you want to experience "being" Meryl Streep? Now's your chance. Christ Church Players will be staging a production of "Easter" by August Strindberg under the direction of Director/Producer Dale Fawthrop. We are now recruiting actors, a stage manager, props person, and publicity agent for April 12 & 13 presentations. This will be a "readers" performance, no memorization required. There will only be 4-5 rehearsals. Readers Needed: One female 40+; Two females 13+; Two males 13+. Interested? Questions?
