was born in London, England in 1957. His early years were spent as a chorister at outhwark Cathedral, London. t 17, he was awarded the ssociateship Diploma of the Royal College of Organists, winning the prize for harmony and counterpoint, and earned the Fellowship and Choirmaster Diplomas a year later. He studied at the universities of Oxford and Durham, and afterwards embarked on a career in organ playing, choir-training and teaching. aldwin has made regular visits to the United tates as a recitalist and formed his own chamber choir in California. He is a freelance organist and accompanist and sits on the composition review board of the Royal chool of Church Music. s a composer, aldwin has published anthems, carols, carol arrangements, descants, free hymn accompaniments and organ music.
