Life Groups Serve Groups Life Groups are weekly or every-other-week groups of 6-20 people that meet for the purpose of Bible study (topical or sequential), prayer, encouragement, and fellowship. Think of these as the living room in the home, where people are in a circle. Serve Groups are groups whose main purpose is to minister together. Think of these as the kitchen of the home, where the work is getting done. Affinity Groups Affinity Groups are groups whose main purpose is to engage in a special interest or outreach. These groups will usually meet less frequently than life groups (perhaps monthly). Think of these as the den or garage of the home, where the people are gathered around the same hobby.
