Nil Dan moved that inwards be accepted and outwards approved Finance Nita presented to the meeting Main Account, $8,600.90 Raffles account $826.22 Billiards account $3,031.05 Term deposit $10,626.55 Dan Questioned two payments to the Billiard account that should have gone to main account, Nita recognised this and will correct the mistake. Dan Noted that the Gore Town and Country Club had not paid for the cloth, Nita to check on this and send a reminder. Nita then moved Financials as presented be accepted. Carried
Meeting then went into committee 7.10pm Meeting came out of committee 7.25pm Whilst in committee Nita Clarkson resigned from Finance, this to be taken over by Neil Gyde. Nita was thanked for the work she has done on the Finance World Under 21 Meeting went into Committee 7.27pm Meeting came out of Committee 8.40pm While in Committee the following were selected to represent New Zealand at the World under 21 Snooker to be held in Belgium. Oceania Representative. Louis Chand New Zealand - Mikey Stewart and Adam Lilley Manager Dan O Sullivan It was moved by Alan Parris Seconded by Heather Bond that The New Zealand Biliards and Snooker association apply to for $ funding for three players and a Manager to attend the World Under 21 Snooker in Belgium in August Carried. New Zealand Championships Dan gave a report on his discussion with Ron Wilson regarding the championship s, all is in order at this stage. Discussion over NZ Women s Championships, Dan to take up with Ron (Later confirmed this event will be held) Alan noted that there will not be an awards evening, Dan to speak to Ron Wilson about this. Letter from North Otago and Neil Whalley regarding qualifying for NZ Champs, a very long discussion on this matter and it was finally decided to grant dispensation for Neil Whalley to play in the event. With the proviso that should citizenship not come through in time then Neil will not be able to represent NZ at World Championships. General Business Dan bought up the Any meeting system and asked if everyone was satisfied with this, it appears most of the problem seems to come from members own equipment and the poor connections from some areas of NZ. Dave Judd was approached by Arthur King to run Regional Open under 21 s event in all regions, this will be looked into and implemented with help from associations. Dave and Heather will work this out with the calendar. Wayne reported on his talks with TAB and NZ Herald re media coverage, Currently getting the papers to cover Dene OKane, Mikey Stewart and Louis Chand. Wayne also said his event finda reports had 5016 hits for NZ Seniors and under 21, Whitestone Classic 1200 and Fast Fit snooker 9286, so it shows that a large number of people are looking at our events. This shows the benefits of putting thing on line.
Neil Gyde bought up that due to illness Ron Slows has resigned as president of the referees association. The referees have now approved an interim president Malcolm Barton until the AGM in Gore Next meeting Tuesday 7 th June at 7pm
