Fr Joe Ellul, a dominican priest, holds a Licentiate in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies [P.I.S.A.I], Rome, a Licentiate in Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, Rome and a Doctorate in Theology, specialization in Ecumenical Studies, from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas [P.U.S.T.] Rome. He is the Archbishop s delegate for Christian-Muslim dialogue. Fr Ellul is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts (Department of Philosophy, Mediterranean Institute, Department of Arabic and Near Eastern Studies), Faculty of Theology University of Malta; a Professor incaricatus in the Faculty of Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, Rome and a visiting Professor at the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Rome. He is a member of the Committee for Relations with Muslims of the Council of European Bishops Conferences and Consultor to the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. Fr Ellul is the author of numerous articles and several books.
