Thanksgiving Meal Whitley City, KY On November 15 th, a group from our church will be traveling to Whitley City, Kentucky to assist the Crossroads Community Church with their Thanksgiving meal. Last year they fed 1,500 people. In an effort to assist Crossroads, we are collecting 64 huge cans of green beans and 107 boxes of yellow cake mix. At this time, we have met and surpassed our goal for the cake mix with 122 cake mixes. We have only collected 32 of the 64 cans of green beans needed. We are half way there. If you can donate a huge can of green beans or cash to purchase a can ($3 to $4 per can) it would be greatly appreciated. Flowers are placed in the sanctuary today in celebration of the 40 th Anniversary of Jimmy and Caroline Allen. Thank you my church family for the cards, the telephone calls, the food and especially the prayers during my recent surgery and cancer journey. It meant so much to me. I am proud to be a member of such a loving and caring church. Love, Peggy Watson

The Light of the World is Jesus The Light of the World is Jesus The Light of the World is Jesus Verse 1: The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin, Like sunshine at noonday, His glory shone in. Come to the light, 'tis shining for thee; Sweetly the light has dawned upon me. Once I was blind, but now I can see: Verse 2: No darkness have we who in Jesus abide; We walk in the light when we follow our Guide! Verse 3: Ye dwellers in darkness with sin blinded eyes, Go, wash, at His bidding, and light will arise.
