Vice President s/medium Secretary s Bit The Church is growing and the energy within mirrors this. A number of mediums and other guests have commented on this positive uplift. And this is down to you all and the enormous way you have brought this positivity along with you. Chairing the Sunday Service, as I do from time to time, has become a personal joy because of the energy received from you all. And this is what it s all about! Energy. Sheer, unadulterated energy! The vibration and upliftment this brings is yours; you create the environment that invites Spirit in and facilitates the wonderful flow of messages and healing comfort we all experience at no matter which events provided by the Church we attend. Well done to you all! Spirit loves you and is there for you. I have provided the programme of events for the first three months of 2011. A lot of bookings are made up to a year in advance (such is the demand for a number of mediums), you will understand, therefore, that unforeseen events such as the extremely cold start to this winter, inevitably affect the programme when late cancellations/substitutions are unavoidable. We try to do everything we can to keep people informed but, of course, at times this is not achievable. So please accept my apologies for any disappointments when certain bookings have to be changed/cancelled at short notice. One alternative we are exploring is the setting-up of a Web-Site for the Church and with it, the ability to link into other church sites, etc., not to mention up-dates more frequently. Apologies for those not on line; suffice it to say a great number are and use this method often instead of post and other forms of communication. By the time you read this the site should be up and running and we will provide details within the Church (and, of course, within the pages of future newsletters). You will see that our programme of workshops continues into the New Year. All are welcome; if you haven t tried one yet please dip your toe in the water of expanded Spirituality and give them a go! Also up and running 10 th January 11 will be a Law of Attraction Meet-up every Monday evening at 7.00pm, hosted by Jean MacLean. Admission will be 2.50 on the door. Claire Taylor s hugely popular Beginners Circle starts up again on Tuesday, 4 th Jan ( 2.50 also on the door) there s still time for people to join! Enough from me, until next time, Love & Light, Steve Young (President of Vice err Vice President) Books & Magazines are also for sale: Sylvia s Cards Man of Spirit by Jenni Gomes They re Only a Breath Away by Christina Green Star Messenger Beautiful Hand Crafted Cards. Available in the church at very reasonable prices, all monies raised goes to the church funds

President Report Here we are at another new year and I hope you all had a good Christmas and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a great new year. We all make New Year s resolutions but of which we never keep so I have decided to make one I can and that is to make each day a special one by trying to make someone else feel special with a smile and warm welcome, because life is too short and I have always believed that what we sow, so we shall reap. I would also like to thank you all for the donations that we collected for catching lives (the homeless in Canterbury) and Help Our Hero s we collected the sum off 310.36 which we will share between the two. The church is for ever going forward and we hope that you like the CDs that we have purchased for the hymns. So we want/need to have chorus practise now because we have the music. God Bless you all and remember that there is always a warm welcome and a friendly face at THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHITSTABLE May there always be work for your hands to do May your purse always hold a coin or two May the sun always shine on your window pane May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain May the hand of a friend always be near you May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. A Fresh Start Left over turkey in the dog; All the rest in me, and my man Now we are making a fresh start At least, that is the plan. A new year, a clean sheet, a brand new way Of looking all around A chance to do things differently Not stick to the ways we were bound A chance to consider others, What are they feeling? How is their day? An opportunity to listen, Whilst others have their say A time to dispose of locked in hurt Now that is a tricky one- I know But life would be better for all of us If we could only Let go Let s start our year with good intentions, Holding a brimming Good Will cup Knowing that when we fall flat on our faces God will forgive us again, and pick us up. Mary Fuggle January 2011 Treasurer s Report NSI Account balance 8296.34 TSB " " 1154.82 ---------------- Total 9451.16 Current Cash in hand. 45.61 The congregation donated a total of 110.36 to our two charities this year, which was topped up by 200.00 pounds by the Committee, therefore a cheque for 155.18 has been sent, both to the Help for Heroes fund, and Catching Lives of Canterbury. Mary Fuggle Jenni Gomes will be facilitating 8 more Saturdays during 2011, as she did last year for anyone interested in Mediumship. Whether you attended last year or you just feel it s a subject you would like to expand on, please let Steve know and he can give you the dates.

The Angel Lady By Bob Lazzar-Atwood She was called the Angel Lady for the ornaments she made, She carved them out of scraps of fir and pine, They echoed a belief she held from which she never strayed, That angels are around us all the time. Her ornaments were crafted with precision and with care From photographs her customers supplied, And each of them was christened with a blessing or a prayer In honour of a loved one who had died. She first received her calling with a heart consumed by grief, The day her loving husband passed away, She found that carving offered her a measure of relief So she spent a little time at it each day. And then when Christmas came with all the memories it brings, And clouds of sadness fell upon her heart, She carved her husband s likeness with a pair of angel wings, And magically the clouds began to part. She fixed it with a piece of string and hung it on the tree He always loved the smell of fresh cut fir, And when she sat beside the tree to carve a bit or read, She felt his loving presence close to her. When others saw the ornament, her neighbours and her friends, They marvelled at how lifelike it appeared, They begged her to consider carving ornaments for them Of loved ones they had lost throughout the years. And so her mission started and her reputation spread, As orders came from cities far and wide, From grieving people seeking some remembrance of their dead, And comfort from the pain they felt inside. The children were the hardest and it often made her weep, To carve their childish features in the pine, But a voice would always come and reassure her in her sleep

There was a long line to see him. It was a little boys turn in line and he said it was his hearing. So, the healing Healer grabbed his ears and said a prayer. The Healer let go and asked, "how s your hearing now?''. "I don't know.. It s not till Friday," replied the boy. A boy was watching his father, a Medium, write an address. "How do you know what to say?" he asked. "Why, Spirit tells me," the father answered. The boy replied, "Oh, then why do you keep crossing things out?" Welcome thenexth
