Watch for our Facebook updates & information postings. Help us share & spread the news that happening around us. Luke 21: 36 (Amplified Bible) reads, But keep alert at all times [be attentive and ready], praying that you may have the strength and ability [to be found worthy and] to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man [at His coming]. A command given to Christ-followers then and NOW! How do you KEEP ALERT? Are YOU indeed attentive (observant, focused) and READY (prepared, equipped, organized)? Are you daily praying that you will have the strength and the ability to stand firm for Christ in the days to come and to lead the lost to Christ? If Christ were to return as you read this article, would YOU be found worthy? There will be a day and many all around us are saying it could be any minute. We don t have to deal with when, we need to BE READY whenever! Are you?????? If you are NOT, there are two more questions. First, why not? Second, what are you going to do? If you are NOT, there are two questions more. It appears that any time a people are called to pray, we are slow to respond. Hopefully you are among those praying with us these past 5 weeks and you will continue to pray with us in the days ahead. Join the TRBA Prayer Team. Take the prayer concerns to your church family and friends. But most importantly PRAY! The Bible teaches that there is power in prayer. A preacher years ago shared, a prayer-less church is a powerless church. What adjective is more appropriate to describe the church of North America than powerless? Can the church be powerful through prayer if church members are as faithful as you are to pray for the will of God to be done? I challenge you this month to pray with me for a movement of God among His people and pray EXPECTING there to be a movement of God amongst us!! Dougald McLaurin

2 52 Sundays of Prayer Each week Tar River Baptist Association is calling each of you to Fervent Prayer. Watch for emails each Sunday to begin your week of fervent prayer. TRBA is still building up our Prayer Team for 2016. To become a member of our Prayer Team, please let us know. Reflections on the Pastors & Wives Appreciation Dinner The Tar River Baptist Association Staff was honored to serve dinner to 8 TRBA pastors and wives who attended the dinner this past Friday night. We enjoyed food, fellowship and praying for their churches and families. This dinner was made possible by GuideStone Financial Resources and Dougald shared about some of the benefits each pastor and their family could receive through GuideStone. We were fortunate to bless each pastor in attendance with a door prize of some kind. Two couples received The "We Still Do..." Ministers and Wives Marriage Retreats to either Ridgecrest or Caswell and two other couples received Sylvan Heights Annual Family Passes (free admission to Sylvan Heights, NC Zoo, NC Aquariums, Science Center in Charlotte and NC Nature in Asheville for a year). Some of the others received gift cards and books. Each pastor s wife was given a flower and bookmark in a mug. We hope each one that came felt our love, support and appreciation for all they do! A special thank you to Linda McLaurin and Doug Muller for their help in making this event possible. Our only regret for the event is that more pastors and their wives did not attend. We hope to have many more next year! Sincerely, TRBA Staff Pray for Our Churches Without Pastors Stanhope Bunn Please be in prayer for these churches as they seek out the individual God has prepared for them. Remember to lift all of our pastors and their families up in prayer, as they strive to minister to God s people. Dates are filling up fast, so contact us now. This is a powerful movie that you must see!! WHY DO YOU NEED THE LICENSED COPY OF WAR ROOM? The copyright law of the US mandates that in order to use a copyrighted work, you must first gain permission from the copyright owner. Regular DVD and BluRay are for in home use only. Any showing outside a home is considered public and therefore permission is needed from the copyright owner to show the film. TRBA S LICENSED COPY CAN BE USED FOR UP TO 99 PEOPLE. Take note of the change in Event Pricing! Reservations for the Outreach Trailers are starting to fill up for 2016. The cost for reserving and use of the Outreach Trailers will be $300.00 per event. This price includes the $100.00 refundable deposit (if guidelines are met) and $200.00 for use of the event equipment/trailer. This increase is due to the cost of upkeep/maintenance and equipment replacement. We want to encourage our churches to use these trailers for ministry events. Don t forget that now all the training required to use the Outreach Trailers can be accessed online. The training has been condensed down to seven short videos which cover the instructions/guidelines for how to use the items in the trailer. When you are feeding cottages that can have as many as 12 to 16 residents, it takes a lot of food to fill hungry bellies. BCH serves as many as 700,000 meals and snacks throughout the year! Consider that BCH operates care locations in 19 North Carolina communities and you can imagine how much it costs to feed so many. The Food Roundup makes it all possible!
