Leader: Thank you God for friends to have fun with, to help us when times get tough, and who like us even on our bad days. Leader: Thank you God for warm sunny days, beautiful blue skies, grass to run in, trees to climb, birds who sing to us and ice cold lemonade. Leader: Thank you God for puppies and kittens, inviting homes, nourishing food, bedtime stories and hugs and kisses. Philip Curran Dr. William Powell, III Youth Youth Youth Lydia Mollet Kim & Cole Stevens Youth/Traditional The flowers on the altar today are in honor of Mia Ogg s birthday, Given by her sister Hailey Mission of Mercy The Second Mile Recipient for April Since 1994, Mission of Mercy, has been operating mobile medical programs that offer free medical and dental care to the uninsured working poor, the homeless, and those unable to access health care. The Mission of Mercy van visits Frederick (at Frederick Church of the Brethren), Thurmont (at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church), and Brunswick (at Trinity Church of God) twice monthly, serving more than 275 Frederick County residents each month. 5

Walkersville Day The Glade Guild will be participating in the annual Walkersville Day again this year on May 20 th. We will be serving breakfast and lunch items along with a sweets table, serving from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Would you like to take advantage of participating in the largest yard sale in Walkersville to clear out the items you have been wanting to move on? You have this opportunity on May 20th, rent a space in Glade UCC's parking lot to sell your items. Spaces can be reserved for $20 a space. Please contact Bonnie Ogg, 301 606-3157 or Connie Rough, 301 639-3666 to reserve a space. We also need help with preparing and serving the food or donating desserts for the sweets table. Join us for the Annual Girls Night Out on May 7, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Church Social Hall. Please bring a main dish and either a side dish or dessert to share with your family and friends. Bring your favorite book or story about your favorite book. Hope to see you there! Prayer Shawl Ministry A Prayer Shawl Ministry Meeting is scheduled for May 11, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Connie Rough's home, 3924 Southview Court, Jefferson. We are in need of knitters and crocheters. Not a knitter or crocheter but always wanted to learn, come join us, we will teach you. Please join our ministry. Please contact Connie Rough, 301 639-3666 if you would like to join our ministry. Calling all Graduates It s that time again to be thinking about those in our Glade family who will be graduating from high school, college, or technical school.
