MAY 27 11:00am Worship One For All John 3: 1-17 Rev. Rob Moor No Evening Service From Our Pastor... Wow what a weekend! Deborah and I were blessed to be among you this past Saturday and Sunday. Everyone gave us such a warm and loving welcome to the church and community. We were excited to meet you, to share some of our past journey s in life and ministry, and to begin to hear your stories. We were also blessed by the strong affirmation of call to serve with you in ministry at Abingdon Baptist. We are thrilled to begin our life with you the first week of July. Between now and then we have many good-byes to say to friends, church members, and co-workers here in West Virginia, many things to pack up in order to prepare for our move, and much to think about and plan for as we launch into ministry with you. Please pray for us to have energy and grace in all these things, and know that we are praying for you and everyone in Abingdon, our new hometown. We will give you brief progress reports on our move through the Banner in the weeks between now and our arrival. Deborah and I know that the Holy Spirit has clearly called us to serve with you, and we look forward to praising the Lord with you not only for the great things he has done at Abingdon Baptist in the past but also for the great things that He will do in our shared ministry to His glory. We love you and feel your love for us. We can't wait to be with you in July. Blessings and Love, Bill and Deborah Phrases from Parke... Congratulations Rev. Dr. William Bill J. Bryan on being called to be our Senior Pastor. There is much excitement in anticipation of his coming in July. I m looking forward to our working together. Thank you to Vicki Burkett, Rose Payne, Carol Clifton and Bill Klose for leading so well in my absence for last week s Sunday morning worship. I have heard many good comments about the service and the choir. Thank you to the Pastor Search Committee for their tireless work over the past nine months. Keep them in your prayers as their work continues with guiding our congregation to welcome our new pastor. Thank you to my wife Margaret for leading Sunday Night alive last week. Attendance has been good on Sunday nights and I am grateful for everyone s participation and sharing in our learning circles through the year. Exciting days are before us as we prepare for Pastor Bill s arrival. Pray for Bill, Deborah and their family, his former church - Old Greenbrier Baptist Church and the many good byes to be said, and pray for our church as we prepare to enthusiastically welcome our new pastor. See You Sunday, Singing God s song, Parke
