Barrett Please pray for our recently deceased: Lawrence M. Gately There is no doubt that the Rosary is one of the trademarks of Catholic devotion to Mary. Every day the Rosary is recited publicly here at St. Elizabeth s after the 7:30 am Mass. We invite those who can do so to join our Rosary Group and honor Mary, the Mother of Jesus. From the Pastor I hope that you all have had a blessed week. What beautiful weather we have had (despite all the pollen). Thank you, again, for all of you have helped me to become familiar with our two parishes. I am impressed and grateful to God for all you do to help the parish carry out our mission. Some of you have met our seminarian Nguyen [pron. new-wen] Dinh who will be with us for the summer. His baptismal name is Vincent and you can call him by this name if this is easier. He is currently studying at St. John s Seminary for his home diocese of Đà Lat in Vietnam. He has been here for two years. This is his first parish experience in the United States. While I am just getting to know this parish, he is going to be shadowing and helping me for the next 7 weeks. If you get a chance to speak with him, I am sure that he would like that and it would help him to become familiar with parish life. He is living with the priests in the rectory. I also want to update the parishes on some other things that you might want to know: The priests for our collaborative are living at the rectory on St. Elizabeth s campus. Fr. Bob Blaney, Nguyen Dinh, and I are the residents there this summer. Fr. Blaney is a priest in residence and works at the archdiocesan offices in Braintree. Over the summer, the parishioners of St. Elizabeth will get to meet Deacon Kevin Martin. While he is very familiar to St. Mary s, he will also be helping out at St. Elizabeth. In order to be more effective in our administrative service to the parish, the offices of the two parishes will be merged. I will keep the parish updated on the timeline and specifics of this as we create a plan. Thankfully due to the good size of our religious education programs, we will continue to have separate religious education programs this coming year. As the parishes start to collaborate more, we will look into how we can share resources in these programs so as to more effectively help our children to grow in faith. I know that many of you will be heading on vacation soon and I hope that you have a safe and blessed summer. If you have not yet signed up your children for religious education, please do so. Joan and Denise are diligently preparing for their return in the Autumn. To those going on vacation: please continue to support your parish through your prayers and sacrifices. Please remember one another in prayer: that we might know the Lord s will and do it in everything. Our Lady Help of Christians, pray for us. Yours in the service of Christ, Fr. Bennett

St. Mary of the Hills Mass Times Daily Mass Monday Saturday 8:30 am Weekend Mass Saturday: 4:00 pm Sunday 8:00 am, 10:15 am, & 12:00 pm June 17 ~ Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time This parable about the mustard seed is a reminder to us about our role in the work of evangelization. The smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants. Many shy away from sharing their faith with others. But if each one of us can muster the courage to shares our faith with one person, who shares with one person, who shares It is this kind of evangelization that will build the Kingdom of God: stories of God working in our lives, of prayers asked for and answered, of feeling the presence of Jesus. Share the mustard seed of your faith and watch to see how it will grow! Annual Silver and Golden Anniversary Mass Cardinal Seán O'Malley, O.F.M. Cap. invites all couples of the Archdiocese of Boston who are marking their 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries to attend the annual Silver and Golden Anniversary Mass and celebration. We are grateful for the privilege of participating with you in enhancing the worship services for our parish. Please join us in September as we will welcome new members to raise your voices to the greater glory of God. We ask for God s blessings on you all, our fellow parishioners, and wish you a pleasant summer. MCC Caring Circle 617-337-3225 or www.mcccaringcircle.org. Linking those in need with those who can help. God our Father, We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; May they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice. We pray for our own Fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; May they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow. We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice. We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen

The Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Friday following the second Sunday after Pentecost.
