BTCC NEWSLETTER Wednesday, September 13, 2017 Trail News Brazos Trails Cowboy Church is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew McQueen as our new Senior Pastor. He and his family will be joining us on Sunday, September 24, for his first official message (just in case you missed his message last Sunday), but they will be here on Wednesday, Sept 20 for bible study. Youth/Children s Church will be Wednesday, September 13, from 6:30-8pm. Ages are from 3 years old thru 12 th grade. Meals are included. The weekly Round Pen bible study will be Wednesday, September 13, from 7-8pm. We meet at 6:30 for a meal so come early. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Invite a friend and bring your bible, a favorite dish to share and a drink and plan on joining us. The study will be held in the Sanctuary. Mixed adults. The Women of Faith weekly Bible Study will be Thursday, September 14, here at the church, beginning at 6:30 for snacks and fellowship with the study starting at 7pm. In keeping with the Women of the Bible theme we will be starting in the book of Ruth. There is an accompanying book for this study. Let either Chelsea or Janet know if you would like one. Donations are appreciated. BTCC Arena Team presents Peaster Rodeo Practice Thursday, September 14, from 6:30-9pm. This is a weekly practice every Thursday. The weekly Friday night Sorting Practice will be Friday, September 15, starting at 6:30pm. The cost is $25. We will need Release Forms signed if not already done and all horses must present with a negative Coggins.

The Wild West Days in Springtown will begin on Saturday, September 16. Our Mission Team will have a booth, #417, from 9am-5pm. Everyone is encouraged to donate an hour or two to help man the booth. To volunteer see GayeLynne Jennings. (There is a signup sheet on the Info Table in the Sanctuary) Our BTCC Parade Team will be riding in the Wild West Parade in Springtown on Saturday, September 16, at 9am. We will also have a wagon for those of you who would like to participate but have no horses. For more info contact Red Morris. (There is a signup sheet on the Info Table in the Sanctuary) Sunday, September 17, is Mary Hill Davis Offering Day. We will be passing the boot. There will be a Fall Festival Meeting directly following services on Sunday, September 17. If you are interested in volunteering your time please plan on attending. The Youth Band Practice session will be in the Youth Bldg on Sunday, September 17, from 3-5pm. For more info contact Youth Leader Boone Massey at 214-790-4199. The weekly Women s Bible Group will be Monday, September 18, with the study of the Book of 2 nd Timothy. This weekly study begins at 6:30 with food and fellowship with the study starting at 7pm. BTCC weekly College/Career Group is Monday, September 25, from 6:30-8pm at the home of Boone & Channing Massey. The Ladies Only Intro to Horse/Cow Clinic will be Monday, September 25, from 7-9pm. This Clinic is biweekly on the 2 nd and 4 th Monday of each month. This is Intro Clinic only, no Intermediate. The cost of the clinic is $20 per horse. The clinic will be led by Kelie Crim. Wednesday, September 27, is the See You at the Pole Day for all Youth Groups across the nation to come together for Prayer at the Flagpole of their schools. This will happen at 7am. For more info, contact Youth Leader Boone Massey. Our BTCC Mission Team will recommence with Student Meals for Weatherford College on Wednesday, September 27. These meals are served at Parker Baptist Assoc from 11am-1pm. This first meal will consist of Soft and Hard Shell Tacos, Salad and Desserts. You need to start planning your 2018 Budgets NOW! Prelim budgets will be due in to the Finance/Audit Team by Sunday, November 5 th. So start planning your team meetings now to reflect upcoming purchases for 2018. Budgets need to be submitted in annual amounts and 100% itemized. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Help us celebrate Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 17 (a week late)! Invite your Grandparents to attend with you! We would love to meet them. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The Youth/Children s Team is now taking donations for Candy/Treats/Prizes that will be used at our Fall Festival on October 25. For more info on items needed and to volunteer your time, please see Channing or Boone Massey and give us a helping hand! It would be greatly appreciated. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The theme for the next 5 th Sunday Meal (October 29) will be a Tailgate Menu. Yes, I had to Google it to see what was on one of those menus, which consists of sliders, dips, finger foods, and lot s of chili (but we cannot forget desserts!). So have fun with the choices and bring enough to share.
