Connections Crewe United Methodist Church Lane Spigener, Pastor Sunday School 9:45 AM Worship 11:00 AM Web Site: http://creweumc.org 4th and Georgia Avenue Crewe, VA 23930 434-645-9907 office@creweumc.org At Crewe UMC, community becomes family, brokenness is healed and worship leads to loving Jesus Christ. Does Grateful & Thankful mean the same? According to Webster, the definition of thankful is someone feeling or showing gratitude. While gratitude or being grateful is more like having a sense of thankfulness and the feeling is from within. These are 2 words that we often use to express the benefits we receive in life. However some or most do not understand the difference between the two. Simply, gratitude means you are thankful and can show it in MANY ways without expecting a favor in return. This can be a way of life for some. On the other hand thankfulness often means nothing more than saying thank you. This is a good thing to say, however this action usually comes after someone has received something therefore it is more like an automatic response. So as we celebrate the upcoming seasons let us not only say thank you but show gratitude which is the special demonstration of spirituality, commitment and affection towards those you love. Being grateful is a sense of a feeling that happens at a deeper level that comes from within your heart. So this season make a list of things you want to be grateful for and actually feel the emotions. Blessings, Pastor Lane Only Jesus Can Turn A mess to a message, A test into a testimony, A trial into a triumph, A victim into a victory. He Is Worthy To Be Praised!
