NOVEMBER 13, 2016 COFFEE & DOUGHNUTS We wish to extend an invite all parishioners and visiting guests to attend our Coffee Hours after the 10:30 am Mass each Sunday. Take the chance to get to know more parishioners than you already know! Delicious doughnuts, coffee, tea and juice are offered for you to partake. School Update: Our Bids for Kids Auction last week was a great evening for all. We would like to thank all school families and parishioners who donated, volunteered time, attended and bid on items! During our Raise your Paddle part of the event, we raised over $2,000 towards new playground equipment for our K- 8 and Pre-K playgrounds! Taste Books are now being sold for $25 from November 7-18 th. If we sell over 100, the school will receive $12.50 per book! These make great Christmas gifts! Call the school if you are interested in purchasing a book. On November 8 th, teachers attended an in-service day at the school, learning about coding, the latest technology moving into private and public school curriculum. Our 8 th grade students enjoyed an educational class trip to the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Hartford on Monday, and on Thursday, our K, 3rd and 8th grade students visited the John Fitch senior center to sing patriotic songs in celebration of Veteran s Day. Student volunteers from both Parishes will greet vehicles to collect turkeys, food & monetary donations that will be delivered to Foodshare by parent & student volunteers following the drive. The Windsor Food Bank is a partner agency of Foodshare and will benefit from this food drive. Steubenville East Youth Conference - all Parish youth in grades 8-12 and their parent(s) are invited to join us on Sunday, November 20th, in Fr. Doherty Hall, at 4:00 p.m., to hear more about this year's Conference being held July 14-16 in Lowell, MA. C1 Students will attend a presentation on Sunday, December 4 th, at 4:00 p.m., in Fr. Doherty Hall, at St. Joseph Church. The presentation will be facilitated by Deacon Ron Biamonte, & all C1 students are required to attend.
