FROM THE SESSION ACTIONS OF SESSION March 11, 2019: 1. Approved the Session minutes for February, 2019. APRIL Birthdays 2. Approved the financial reports for February, 2019. 3. Approved a donation of $100 toward the Eagle Scout project of Gavin Weber, a member of the troop that meets at our Church, who is making improvements at Two Mile Run Park. Of the estimated $1,300 necessary, he has already raised $900. 4. Approved the request of the Church Secretary to attend the Presbytery Administrative Staff Day on April 9, 2019, to be counted as a work day and not as a vacation day, and pay her expenses. 5. Approved the request of the Church Secretary to take April 10, 2019 as a vacation day. 6. Approved continuing Bible Study in May, 2019 and consider reconvening in the fall, 2019. 7. Approved removing sufficient funds necessary from the Edward Jones account to meet current expenses. The church office will no longer be contacting individuals to serve as greeters for Sunday morning worship. We are all capable of picking up our own bulletin and greeting any visitors before or after worship. Please feel free to voice your opinion on this decision; the office is open to suggestions! Flowers were provided for morning worship on March 24, 2019, by Jane Beach and family in memory of Linda Hartman on the occasion of her birthday, March 23 rd. UPCOMING EVENTS at RGAPC Youthful Spirits Men and women with YOUTHFUL SPIRITS gather for food and fellowship at noon the first Wednesday of each month. Watch future bulletins for information on the next gathering. Women s Prayer Breakfast - rescheduled The Women s Prayer Breakfast will not meet April 13 th. Consider joining the small group of women of RGAPC when they meet at Linda Lou s Restaurant, 1572 Mercer Road, at 8:30 a.m. on May 11 th. Devotions are followed by good food and fellowship. Well, if you do and find it a hardship to afford tickets, here is what you can do! Contact Gary Barton at the theater (432-5196) between 10 am and 4 pm most days. He will give you information on volunteering; thus, you get to see all the performances at which you volunteer as a reward! ~~~~ The Caring Place Auxiliary is seeking volunteers for the Sunflower Shoppe which is the gift shop; it is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturday, 1 p.m. 4 p.m. Each shift is three (3) hours. If you or someone you know may be interested, contact Marie Leyda (437-3291) or Angela Prather (814-388-9482). Volunteering is a very rewarding experience.

SAVE THE DATE: Community Services of Venango County will offer the 8 th annual Empty Bowls event at Wanango Country Club on April 8, 2019, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests enjoy a meal of soup and bread prepared and served by many local chefs. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 or at the door for $20. Children 5 & under are free. Benefits Community Services Food Pantries. See poster on bulletin board for additional information. ~~~~ Biblical Studies with Rev. Joe Joey Martin have been held after worship from February 17, 2019 through March 31, 2019. Due to other commitments, Rev. Martin will not be available again until May 12 th, at which time the sessions will resume through the end of the month before taking the summer off. Come to learn; leave inspired! ~~~~ Venango County Older Adult Services Senior Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers age 55 and older to volunteer in the following areas: Out-of-County drivers (transport individuals to medical appointments using a county provided vehicle and gas) Ombudsman volunteers (visit with and advocate for individuals residing in long-term care facilities) APPRISE volunteers (provide medical counseling after completing free required training) Friendly visitors (visit with individuals who are home bound) If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Jeff Schneider, SVO Coordinator, at 814-432-9711
