Page 3 Church Activities Just Just Older Older Youth Youth On Monday, September 11th the JOY Group is invited to a meal that will be prepared for you in the fellowship hall at 6:00pm. Our meal will be Chicken, green beans, corn, potatoes, tolls and a dessert! We will also have games and a devotion. Come join us! Saturday December 2nd, we will be going to Myrtle Beach to the Alabama Theater to see the Christmas Show. Sign up sheet is in the foyer. There is limited seating, cutoff will be Sunday September 10th. We will need a $20 deposit by then also, so we can go ahead and purchase the tickets. Come go with us! Heart Sisters Dolls on Mission The next meeting for Dolls on Mission is Saturday, September 9th 9:30am 12:30pm The Heart Sisters monthly meeting will be on Sunday, September 3rd, at 6:00pm A meal will be provided, so come and enjoy the meal, games and a devotion. All Ladies are encouraged and invited to attend. We meet on the first Sunday evening of every month. If you have never joined us, now is the time! Location is 1617 Roosevelt Blvd. in Monroe. Page 4 Mission Project APPALACHIAN COALFIELDS MINISTRY Sept/Oct Church-wide Mission Project September 10th Items Needed: Small POP-TOP canned foods such as Ravioli, Vienna Sausages, Tuna, Beef Stew, Fruit, Vegetables September 17th Items Needed: Small NEW clothing items such as hats, gloves, socks and underwear September 24th Items Needed: Hygiene Items such as brush, comb, shampoo, soap, washcloth, toothpaste, toothbrush and deodorant October 1st Items Needed: NEW Non-Breakable, age appropriate Toy Please NO WEAPON related toys (Ages of children range from 3-14) October 8th Items Needed: School Supplies such as notebooks, notebook paper, crayons, pencils, folders, erasers and rulers. Future weeks in October will be determined by what is still needed

Those changing classes will go to their new classroom at the beginning of Sunday School (9:45 a.m.) Baptism On Sunday August 27th Warren Green was baptized! Sunday School is an excellent opportunity to make a commitment, for you and your family.
