Welcome! If this is your first time with us, please stop by our Welcome Center where you will receive a small visitor bag. If you would like to speak with one of our pastors, one will be available in the Pastors Reception Room located off the front foyer after our morning service. For The Cause About Our Gathered Worship Expository Preaching: Our normal practice is to preach expositionally through Scripture, where the main point of the passage preached is the main point of the sermon. Pastoral Prayer: As a church, we worship God by bringing our requests to him and seeking his aid. Thus, you will find us praying not only for our own congregation, but also Christians, churches, cities, and countries across the globe. KidsPointe: We love for families to worship together at High Pointe! In the morning, we also offer gospel-centered teaching time for children K-4th grade. If your child(ren) will be attending KidsPointe for the first time, please accompany them to the East Training Room (upstairs) to drop them off and provide your contact information. Families with Children: If you need to leave the service with your children, we offer a Family Overflow Room with a live feed, located near the nursery. Sermon Notes are available for kids at any entrance. Nursing Mothers Room: We offer a Nursing Room that you may access through the ladies restroom near the front foyer. Traducción disponible en Español: Por favor visite el Centro de Bienvenida para tomar sus audifonos. Puede devolverlos en el mismo lugar al final del servicio. Membership at High Pointe Baptist Church To become a member at High Pointe, first attend a One-Day membership class, then complete a membership interview with a pastor, before being affirmed by the congregation. The next One-Day membership class will be early January. Attending the class does not require you to become a member. Praise To The Lord The Almighty Sermon Notes Acts 16:1-5 Becoming All Things to All Peoples to Save Some Pastor Juan Sanchez 1 Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. 2 He was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4 As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions that had been reached by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem. 5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily. 3 CCLI Song # 4345378 Catherine Winkworth Christy Nockels Joachim Neander Nathan Nockels 2004 Word Music, LLC If you have any questions about what you have heard today, or would like to speak and pray with one of our pastors, one will be available in the Pastors Reception Room located off the front foyer after the service. 8

In Christ Alone Old Testament Reading Genesis 17:9-14 9 And God said to Abraham, As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations. 10 This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you. 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring, 13 both he who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money, shall surely be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an everlasting covenant. 14 Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant. 5 Words and Music by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend 2002 6
