May God reward you abundantly for your ongoing prayers for our Green Bay Seminarians and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and holy married life! This past formation year was very fruitful. Our academic schedule is always challenging, but each seminarian must grow spiritually, personally, and pastorally, as well. I am most thankful for the graces received in all four pillars of formation. Every theology level seminarian at St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Milwaukee (where I am in formation) is assigned to a teaching parish somewhere in the Archdiocese. I am joyfully assigned to St. Jerome Parish in Oconomowoc. I am most grateful for the generosity and mentorship of Fr. Tom Brundage and his staff, as well as the warm embrace of the parishioners of St. Jerome. They unselfishly help to prepare me so that I may serve each of you better here in Green Bay in the not-too-distant future, please God! After completing the regular academic year in early May, I continued on with additional course work until mid-june. In the last two weeks of June, I enjoyed some family time, attended the ordination of a brother seminarian to the priesthood for the Diocese of La Crosse, and on July 1, served the Mass of Ordination for our five, fine new priests! The remaining days of July will be spent in San Antonio, Texas. I will be a student at the Mexican American Catholic College, working to improve my pastoral Spanish language skills. August will be a whirlwind of seminarian functions, including talks in the parishes, our diocesan retreat, and finally back to our individual seminaries to begin another academic year. May our gracious and loving God bless each of you abundantly, now and in the days to come. Please continue to pray for us as we daily pray for you. Stay strong and courageous in our beautiful Catholic faith! Your Servant in Christ, ~Bill Evans HOLY MATRIMONY Congratulations to these couples who were married here at Cathedral.
