Mission Action Plans Derby Diocese
Mission Action Plans A Mission Action Plan is a document which outlines the mission activities that a local church is going to do in the coming months and years. A MAP does exactly what is says on the tin an action plan for mission.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1: 8
Going for growth 1. Where are we starting from? 2. Where are we going? 3. What s the best way to get there? 4. What do we need to do?
MAP York MAP study conclusions In all cases where the MAP principles are firmly established, churches report overall growth Often in difficult key areas such as children and young people, or increased male membership. MAPs have helped hundreds of churches to look more closely at how they are serving God, and what it means to be the Body of Christ in their local situation. The MAP process draws on the power of the Holy Spirit, encouraging wider use of the gifts of discernment, wisdom, insight, understanding, faith, and knowledge. Paul Wordsworth, Diocesan Missioner, Sept 2007
