Operation Rice Bowl We are invited to pray with our families and faith communities; fast in solidarity with those in hunger; learn more about our global community and the challenges of poverty overseas; and give sacrificial contributions to those in need. Rice Bowls are available at the entrances of the Church. Please take one home and bring it back filled with your donation on Palm Sunday. Thank you for your support. Pierogi Lunches March 27 is the last day for pierogi lunch in the Parish Hall 11am-1:30pm. The cost is $6 and includes 5 Sophie Choice Pierogi, sour cream and/or onions, tossed salad, apple sauce, roll and beverage. Service Bulletin Board In this section you can ask for short term help such as meal prep if Mom breaks a leg, or elder-sitting when a caretaker needs to leave for a bit, lawn care, or whatever. Pierogi Lunches...Fridays in Lent 5. Night at the Races...April 18 Night at the Races Many volunteers are needed on April 18th from 5:30-10pm to make our Night at the Races a success! This is a parish event with proceeds directed to roof repairs on the church and hall. Presently help is needed to solicit basket raffle donations and sell race sponsors, horses and tickets for that evening. Bakers will be needed to provide desserts. On race night volunteers will be needed to assist with the bead game, 50/50 ticket sales and raffles. If you have questions, are able to donate a prize for the basket raffle or are interested in volunteering, please contact/leave a message for Joan Patchin at the Parish Office, 323-5539 or email jmp82147@aol.com. Cyber/Social Media Safety Please plan to attend the Cyber/Social Media Safety Information session on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 in the Parish Hall. Jeff Stutzman, Social Media Coordinator for the Diocese of Cleveland will be the presenter. Registration Registration for full or half day Preschool, full day Kindergarten, and NEW students for grades 1-8 is continuing. Please contact the school office to set up an appointment to visit the school. The deadline for the second round of PSAS applications is June 1. If you need an application, please contact the school office 322-2808. Suzin L. Chocolate Fundraiser The Suzin L. chocolate fundraiser started February 25 and ends March 18. Please collect payment at the time of order with cash or checks made payable to St. Mary PTU. Orders will be delivered to the school by Friday, March 27th. Be sure to get your chocolate in time for Easter! Student Council Penny Drive This week the Student Council sponsored a Penny Drive to benefit Blessing House. The students collected pennies throughout the week. Each grade was placed into one of two groups for a little friendly competition. The two groups were Gold: K, 3, 4, 7 and 8; Blue: Preschool, 1, 2, 5, and 6. According to the scale, it looks like the Blue Team outweighed the Gold Team! Thank you everyone for your support!
