Dinner for St. Joseph Shelter And Jesus said FEED THE HUNY This is our 12 th year for taking dinner once a month to St. Joseph Catholic Overnight Shelter in Lorain. We serve pasta, any kind with meat, salad, bread or rolls and dessert. You are welcome to purchase or make any of those items. This note is always in the bulletin also. Operation Rice Bowl We are invited to pray with our families and faith communities; fast in solidarity with those in hunger; learn more about our global community and the challenges of poverty overseas; and give sacrificial contributions to those in need. Service Bulletin Board In this section you can ask for short term help such as meal prep if Mom breaks a leg, or elder-sitting when a caretaker needs to leave for a bit, snow-shoveling, or whatever. If you are interested in sharing your talents, for these particular events please contact stmaryelyria@aol and your name will be given to the various committee chairs. Pierogi Lunches...Fridays in Lent 5. Night at the Races...April 18 St. Mary s Night at the Races Many volunteers are needed on April 18th from 5:30-10pm to make our Night at the Races a success! This is a parish event with proceeds directed to roof repairs on the church and hall. Presently help is needed to solicit basket raffle donations and sell race sponsors, horses and tickets for that evening. Bakers will be needed to provide desserts. On race night volunteers will be needed to assist with the bead game, 50/50 ticket sales and raffles. If you have questions, are able to donate a prize for the basket raffle or are interested in volunteering, please contact/leave a message for Joan Patchin at the Parish Office, 3223-5539 or email jmp82147@aol.com. Tickets on sale after every Mass $20 per ticket (must be 21)

Confirmation Thursday, March 12 8th grade candidates from our day school and PSR program will receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep them in your prayers. Suzin L. Chocolate Fundraiser The Suzin L. chocolate fundraiser started February 25 and ends March 18. Please collect payment at the time of order with cash or checks made payable to St. Mary PTU. Orders will be delivered to the school by Friday, March 27th. Be sure to get your chocolate in time for Easter! 4th & 5th grades Power of the Pen Congratulations Lindsey Reitz, Katie DeMarco, and Erika White who have qualified for the regional Power of the Pen competition to be held at Perkins Sandusky Middle School on Saturday, March 14. Good luck, ladies! 6th, 7th, & 8th grades Math Wall of Fame In each hallway look for the Math Walls of Fame! Students receive stars for achieving certain accomplishments in Math class. They can t wait to see their name on the Wall!
