Day 27 Surah Furqan After seeing all these signs, people should worship Allah without associating any partners with Him. But they are still doing shirk. And they (disbelievers, polytheists) worship besides Allâh, that which can neither profit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord. (55) Attachment with love and magnification and humility. They are attaching to :و( ي(ع 7 ب 3 د 3 ون( someone other than Allah, someone below Allah, and they have chosen these false gods themeslves. See how unfair they are. We need to worship the One who is perfect in His attributes. So it is a big crime and it shows their aql is really naaqis. ' :ٱلF the One who needs to be worshipped, and to be adored and attached to. Look at ayah 3 of this surah. ) ٣) #ا و( ه 3 م 7 ي 3 خ 7 ل(ق 3 ون( و( ل( ي(م 7 ل'ك 3 ون( ل' (نف 3 س'ه'م 7 # ض(رZا و( ل( ن(ف 7 ع$ #ا و( ل( ي(م 7 ل'ك 3 ون( م(و 7 # ت$ا و( ل( ح(ي/وة$ و( ل( # ن 3 ش 3 ور$ ا و( ٱتFخ(ذ 3 واd م'ن د 3 ون'ه'ۦc # ء(ال'ه(ة$ لF ي(خ 7 ل 3 ق 3 ون( ش(ي 7 _ Yet they have taken besides Him other âlihâh (gods) that created nothing but are themselves created, and possess neither hurt nor benefit for themselves, and possess no power (of causing) death, nor (of giving) life, nor of raising the dead. (3) In this ayah, Allah tells us that they don t possess anything, nor can they create, nor can they harm nor benefit themselves, nor give life nor death. But in ayah 55, Allah tells us that these are idols are being worshipped. It is more serious. The Ibadah triangle is love, fear and hope. Then you will find the attachment, magnification and the humiliation. You will only hope from the god when you feel that this god can benefit. When you feel that this god can harm you, only then will you fear the harm, or the punishment from it. But Allah is saying they can't benefit nor harm them nor protect them from any harm in the dunya nor in the akhirah. See how this ayah shows the criterion. Surah Noor comes before Surah furqan. The Quran is the noor which shows the criterion. Allah is the Owner Almaalik المالك, He can give and withhold. He can benefit and He. الضار, and AdhDhaar النافع can harm. He is AnNaafi And the disbeliever is # ا.ظ(ه'ير$ He is forming a group against Allah, seeking help of Shaytan and his helpers against Allah, declaring a war against Allah. This is consolation for nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, because he used to feel sad when
they would bely him and insult him. They are not belying you as a person, but actually they are belying Allah's ayaat, belying Allah. We are humans, we get so affected when people bely us, disbelieve in us. But Allah is perfect in His attributes. From a hadeeth, we know that there is no one more patient than Allah from the harm that He hears. From His own creation, He hears insults against Him, giving their opinions about Allah. Still Allah is giving them, providing for them, letting them enjoy their life. one who covers up the truth after it has appeared to him, closing their eyes to :ٱل 7 ك(اف'ر 3 the truth. His Rabb is the one who created him, provided for him, nurtured him, is :ع(ل(ى/ ر( ب- 'ه'ۦ taking care of him, bestowed so many blessings on him. So they really really deserve to be in hell. Dont go to temples and churches, because you are advertising for their kufr, helping those who are opposing Allah and His Messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.
) و( م(اu أ(ر 7 7 س(لن(/ك( إ'لF م 3 ب(ش- # 'ر$ ا و( # ن(ذ'ير$ ا ) ٥٦ And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW ) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. (56)
Allah says that if he wants, He could send a warner in every town. And in ayah 1, Allah tells us that He sent nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam to be a warner to all of mankind. In ayah 56, Allah tells us about Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam's mission. This is also the job of everyone in the field of dawah. When you have negation ( م(اu ) and ( إ'لF ) exception, this shows too much emphasis. giving glad tidings to people if they worship Allah. Eg if you pray, this is what :م 3 ب(ش- # 'ر$ ا you will get. This can be with reward. Telling them about Paradise, how Allah will make your life easy, how Allah will give you provision, how is Allah's forgiveness. To motivate, encourage them. To warn people from the punishment of Allah and His anger if they disobey :و( ن(ذ'ير$ # ا Allah. The previous ayaat are more specific, it says to warn the disbelievers. But here, Allah tells us generally to motivate the people and warn them. In ayah 55, Allah says the idols can't benefit them nor harm them, and in this one Allah says that the messenger SallAllahu alaihi wasallam gives glad tidings and warnings. So this is the sequence and link. Everyone wants glad tidings, benefit. Idols can't do that, nor can they give harm or punish. It is not our job to wait for the result of giving glad tidings and warnings, whether they changed or not, whether they listened or not. No, don't worry about the consequences and results, just do your job. Most people are focused on the result. Your niyah should be to follow the footsteps of the Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. Don't get stressed about the results, it is a fitna. How many people became Muslim, how many people changed, etc etc? All these thoughts will only cause stress. We can't force people to believe. We show them positive and negative both sides. And then you leave them and let them decide by themselves. We are so imperfect we want to guide only those whom we love. But this is dawa according to desires. Therefore Alhamdulillah, guidance is associated with the will of Allah, He will guide whomever deserves it, not according to our desires. On the day of judgement, some messengers will come without any followers, some with two only. Nuh Alaihisalam did dawa for 950 years and only 70-80 people followed him. On twitter, youtube, we have followers, and people want more followers. But in reality, the followers of the truth are very few. We need to start giving glad tidings and warning. Don't come with the intention, I want to change the people. You can't, only Allah can change the people. Don't kill
yourself over grief that they are not listening to you. This will show who is working for Allah s sake and who is working for the sake of people. If you are only working for followers, it is working for your desires. May Allah make us a means for guiding the people. Ameen. Allah will never change the situation of the people unless they change themselves. When the guidance comes, it goes to to heart. If the person accepts it, he will change and be saved. If he doesn't accept it, he will not change. We can;t tell people, wear hijab, we tell them what Allah like, what He hates.
س(ب'يل$ ) ٥٧ # ) ق 3 ل 7 م(اu أ(س 7 á ل 3 ڪ 3 م 7 ع(ل(ي 7 ه' م'ن 7 أ(ج 7 رÑ إ'لF م(ن ش(اuء( أ(ن ي(تFخ' ذ( إ'ل(ى/ ر( ب- 'ه'ۦ Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching), save that whosoever wills, may take a Path to his Lord. (57) We are making dawa for la ilaaha illallah. We can't misuse this dawa. Some people preach for praise, for reward from people, but this is bringing down this noble job. We are just advising, giving glad tidings, we don;t want reward. Because the minute reward comes, where is the ikhlaas? May Allah protect us from this fitna. Ameen. Some people make their religion as a job taking money for it, taking a salary, making a business. People say to others, if you want to learn Quran, pay this much. But this is different from what Allah wants. Your Rab is Allah, He is your King, you are working for Him, so wait for reward only from Allah. Quran. for the dawa and the :ع(ل(ي 7 ه' During the hijrah, Abu Bakr RadiyAllahu anhu brought 2 camels- one for himself and one for Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, but he insisted on paying for it. Today, the one who is not good in studies, they send him to religious studies, maybe this is how you will eat. This is wrong. Religion should be free of charge. This was how Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam taught. If Allah made you a teacher of religion, why do you want a salary? If no one will reward, Allah will reward. So make the religion accessible, easy for the people. Don't say, we need to take a fees otherwise the people won't take it seriously. No, this is not our problem.
We should be self motivated. The person who wills to take a way to his Lord will get guided. The door is open, no reward, no payments, so if you want to continue, continue. If you want to stop, it will be on you. Be lenient on the people. Because people say, oh I didn't attend the classes for so long, so I feel embarrassed to go back to them. No, welcome them back, the door is open. Because we want everyone to come for the sake of Allah, not to please the teacher. People don't come to these gatherings when many rules are put on them. In 13 years in Makkah, there were no hypocrites because there was no worldly reward at all. As soon as there are rewards, intentions can change. You don't want people to be forced to come. Thats why the sahaba were the pure ones. All the hypocrites totally failed. Your decision is your decision. If you will to take a path to Allah, you will. May Allah make our intentions pure, no expectation from anyone except Allah. May He make us from the muttaqeen. Ameen. Don't call people to yourself, call them to Allah.

So rely on the One who is Ever Living. Aisha Radiyallahu anha would do good deeds, she would cook and feed the people only wanting reward from Allah. When the servant would come back, she would ask her servant, what did they say to you? She would say, they made dua for you. She would make the same dua for them. May Allah make us follow their example, and encourage each other for Allah's sake. Ameen. No one is better than anyone, we are holding hands with each other and are attached to the rope of Allah. We need the tawakkul on Allah. Don't rely on anyone else.
