Apostle Emma S. Dickens Morning Dew Service November 29, 2015 Is it Love or Loaves? Scripture: St. John 6: 24-26 (KJV) 24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. 25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. St. Luke 9: 10-13 (KJV) 10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. 12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. 13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but
five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people. St. John 6: 5-13 5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. 12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. 13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. Job 5: 1-5 Amplified Versions Call now is there anyone who will answer you? And to which of the holy ones (angels) will you turn? 2 For anger slays the foolish man, And jealousy kills the simple (naive). 3 I have seen the foolish taking root [and outwardly prospering], But I cursed his dwelling immediately [for his destruction was certain] 4 His children are far from safety [and included in their father s ruin], They are oppressed and crushed in the [court of justice in the city s] gate, And there is no [a] one to rescue them. 5 The hungry devour his harvest. And take it even [when it grows] among the thorns; The trap opens for [his] wealth. Today s Service: We are up for the challenge. What does it profit a man or a woman to gain the whole world and lose their soul? What profit do you make? You may have made a monetary profit but did you gain a soul.
Don t play with your soul. You need to know before you leave this earth that it is well with your soul. G-d wants you to love him because of who he is and not what he can do for you. What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits towards me? If he never does anything else for you, he has done enough. Why? Because I love you Lord and you are the best thing to me. People will come to the house of the Lord for reputation and position. But have you fallen in love with Jesus. Trouble will bring you to Jesus but love will keep you with him. Jesus will treat you so good that you can t help but love him. When you fall in love with Jesus he will protect you and hold you. When you fall in love with him, he will be the best thing that has ever happened to you. Agape love is going to do a miraculous thing. Not everybody following Jesus is following him for the same reasons. However, he still received them. Religion is gone and relationship is coming back and miracles are alive in the body of Christ. Desert- Even though the people were with Jesus they were still in a dry place. I rather be in a dry place with Jesus than to be in a rich place with the devil. The dryer the place the more miracles you will see. When it looks like everything has dried up, get ready for your miracle. Get ready for your heaven appointed miracle because even in a dry place he can feed you. He is your water. According to the word if I am in a dry a place with the word, the word is going to work a miracle out of my dry place. Get ready for my miracle. Don t let go of the word, even when you are in a dry place. Still look to the word and just believe. What do you do when you have to preach others that are going to be healed and you are sick? What do you do when your way is blocked and the people you are preaching to have a turn around and you don t? What do you do when you feel like you don t have enough to minister? Stay with the word. Sometimes you will feel like what the people need you don t have. You may be in a dry place but realize that you
are in the desert with your destiny. You are in the desert with you dearest and the fairest of them all. Vs 12- Jesus was around this men and walked with them, and still they did not have this compassion. When you walk with a Pastor that has compassion and serve a G-d that has compassion you should automatically have compassion. When the church get the attitude of compassion you will see miracles working in the body of Christ. Don t focus on your limitations. In the crisis times of life when your resources are low and your responsibility it high, remember the source of you resources, for it is G-d. Vs 13 G-d will always give you an assignment that is greater than you. You will be wondering how in the world you are going to accomplish the assignment. St. John 6: 5- At the Passover they at unleavened bread. (no yeast, no rising, just plain bread) They are in the desert with some bread. Jesus is the bread. 1. He asked a question- Phillip asked a question that had already been answered- Look at verse 6 Jesus already done worked things out so why are you trying to figure it out. We can t limit what G-d does in our lives assuming what is or is not possible. Don t let your estimate of what can or cannot be done keep you from doing what G-d told you to do. Your estimation will always underestimate the power of G-d. When it comes to the kingdom, you will always guesstimate. John 6: 8 Andrew- Simon Peter s brother- Had a very peculiar habit- He always brings people to Jesus. He brought the little boy to Jesus with the 2 fish and 5 load of breads. Our blessings is in here but compared to the need it looks like it isn t enough. Fish- indicates it was very small like the size of a sardine. It was a small fish cooked, dried, and prepared. It s not the amount that we have, but our willingness to give what we have to the Lord that he blesses and uses. It is your responsibility to your ability that he has given you that he looks at. No matter what we have, no matter how small, he can use it. In Jesus hands little becomes much, when it is in his hand. Vs 10 Make the men. St. Luke 9: 14
Order releases miracles. G-d is a G- d of order. When there is order the odor of division won t be amongst us. Luke 9: 15- When the men get in order, the house will be in order. When men get in order the physical house we come into alignment. Mark 6: records the same account as Luke 9: 10-15 Leadership can lead you out of order. Never listen to anyone that is going to lead you out of order. When you get in order everything else will have to fall in place. Whatever G-d says do, just do it. Only Jesus can take water and turn it into wine. When you serve others G-d will serve you. When you get in order, your basket will fill up.
