LETTER TO TEENS FROM COORDINATOR Dear Teens, September 13, 2017 Year 1 candidates, I am looking forward to serving and getting to know you this coming year. I was once in your shoes and in the same program not too long ago. I know the feeling of being a bit nervous attending a program in which I know no one, be expected to complete service projects and definitely not wanting to attend a retreat! But I assure you that there is meaning to all the expectations we ask of you. We only ask that you open your hearts to Jesus and allow the holy spirit to work within your lives. We (the confirmation team) are here to serve you and be witnesses to our faith and spread the Good news of Jesus. FUNDRAISING We depend on you and your parents to help support our Faith Formation Fundraising events. Through the efforts of our families, San Gabriel Mission will be able to continue to offer Faith Formation classes at reasonable costs and keep our retreat costs at a reasonable price. Events which need teen & parental/guardian support and assistance may include: Jog-A-thon, Sunday Breakfasts,, raffle events and more. We are constantly working on ways to provide more resources to our young people so that we can have a wonderful faith formation experience. Year 2 candidates, I ve missed you all this summer and cannot wait to continue this spiritual journey with you in your second year of confirmation. I am proud of your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm to serve the Lord. If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. Please know that I am here to assist you! Sincerely yours in Christ, Georgina Mayorga Confirmation Coordinator (626) 988-9297 4 17
