Christian Appalachian Project Workfest (March 38,2019) On behalf the ten CCUP/UT students (Catherine Burke, Jennifer Greco, Grady Hedrick, Alex Martin, Kayla Miller, Josue Quinones, Britney Siefring, Alexis Smith, Rose Soriano, & Quinn Wise) and the five adults (Doug Bargiel, Keith Martin, Kim Stechschulte, Ted Stechschulte, & Fr. Dan Zak) who participated in the alternate spring break CAP Workfest experience in Martin County, Kentucky, we extend a big THANK YOU to the parish for the tithes ($721.36), and to all those who sponsored students for this wonderful experience service and community. Catholic Student Association Event Calendar Feel At home The Catholic presence at the University Toledo University Toledo UNDERGRADUATE Catholic Student Association (CSA) and GRADUATE STUDENT Newman Club: Did you know that if you are a Catholic at the University Toledo, you are automatically a member CSA or the Newman Club? The Catholic Student Association is one the largest coed organizations on the University Toledo s campus. Associated with Corpus Christi University Parish, it serves as the Catholic student organization on campus, fostering spiritual, social and academic growth. Scholarships Available for UT Students The deadline for applying is Wednesday, April 17th by 5pm in the Parish Office. Application forms are available on the table in the Gathering Space. o John Henry Newman Scholarship: Applications are available on the table by the exit for any CSA student who wishes to apply for the John Henry Newman Scholarship. Requirements are printed on the application. Two $500.00 scholarships are available. o Roger and Norma Weiher Scholarship: $500 for a UT senior who is a Catholic registered at Corpus Christi and has been accepted for graduate studies in any field. The major criteria are involvement in leadership roles on campus and community service. o Veterinary Scholarship: $ 1,000 for a UT senior registered at Corpus Christi University Parish who is accepted for graduate studies in a veterinary school. For information, please contact Pam Meseroll. o Engineering/ Health Care Science Scholarship: Two $900.00 scholarships are available for a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor degree in Engineering or in Health Care Sciences. See the application for more information. Three our students were just chosen as new Presidential Ambassadors! Congratulations Branigan, Kevin, and Maggie! They get to join the ranks many other CSA students involved in this prestigious campus group which represents the University and its president throughout campus. There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 7:30 PM in the Church for UT students and recent UT graduates who are interested in a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Father Jeremy Miller and Father Phil Smith. The pilgrimage will take place May 1727, 2020 and will be specifically designed for university students and recent graduates The University Toledo.
