To find the Parish Hall, head downstairs using the stairs in the rear of the sanctuary. Coffee, freshly-made sandwiches, and refreshments are available for purchase. All are welcome. Holiday Bazaar Immediately following the service in the Parish Hall Craftspeople from our community will be selling handmade holiday gifts today and next Sunday. Let s support our local artists and get our holiday shopping done at the same time! We Need You! Christmas Eve Ushers It s that time of year again. We need a great welcoming crew for Christmas Eve by Candlelight! To those of you who are so inclined, please sign up to help us usher for 5:00, 7:00, or 9:00 pm Christmas Eve services. We ask volunteers to arrive 45 minutes before each service. There will be a brief orientation meeting in the Sanctuary after today s service. There, we ll assemble the candles, explain the various responsibilities, and make the ushering assignments. If you re interested, come to the meeting! First and Third Sunday Sixes 6:00 pm in the Chapel Arlington Street s Sunday Sixes are one-hour, contemporary services that provide a quieter, more personal complement to our full Sunday morning Services. The services are organized by our ministerial intern, Kelly Asprooth-Jackson, and our former Worship Committee Co-Chair, Shea Mullaney. This is the season where darkness peaks, and the world begins to return to light. This theme is reflected in both Judaism and Earth-Centered spiritual traditions. Join us for this fusion service in which we will wake up a tree, light the Menorah, and bring one another into a circle of light.

Worship Highlights During the eight nights of Chanukah, the Hanukkiah (Menorah) will be kindled at all of Arlington Street s worship events Wednesday Gathering: Vespers Wednesday, December 20 th, 6:30 pm in the Clark Room Vesper services are held at the close of day and give attendees an opportunity to be together in meditative music and word. Gather with other Arlington Street members and friends. (NB: The worship opportunity on the first Wednesday of every month is Wednesday Gathering: First Wednesday ) Christmas Eve Morning Sunday, December 24 th, 11:00 am Yes we ll be here! Join us for O. Henry s Gift of the Magi, caroling, and holiday cheer. Senior minister Rev. Kim K. Crawford Harvie and our staff present this relaxed service as a great way to start Christmas Eve! Christmas Eve by Candlelight Sunday, December 24 th, 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00 pm You are invited to Arlington Street Church s 277 th annual Christmas Eve services. Our annual services include the traditional New England candlelighting ceremony, carols, and our senior minister Rev. Kim K. Crawford Harvie. The 5:00 pm service is especially welcoming to families with children. Our 7:00 and 9:00 pm services include guest musiciains the Boston Gay Men s Chours under the direction of Arlington Street s director of music, Miguel Felipe. Note: child care will not be provided during the Christmas Eve by Candlelight services. Wednesday Gathering: First Wednesday Wednesday, January 3 rd, 2007, 6:30 pm in the Chapel Are you resolving again for New Year s to bring new experiences and ideas into your life? Make a resolution to join us at the Wednesday Gathering: First Wednesday service where the theme will be Telling Our Stories. Congregation members are invited to bring inspirational poems and stories to participate in an open mic format. Live music is provided, as always, by Joe Della Penna. If you plan to read, please contact Gathering@ASCBoston.org. The First Wednesday service celebrates our divine creativity and takes place every First Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Chapel. You are welcome to come early to enjoy your supper in quiet fellowship with others. Refreshments follow the service at 7:30 pm or you may join Jean Stewart s Kundalini Yoga class, also in the Chapel. Our focus continues this month on giving. We ll be spending the morning making crafts to sell during coffee hour. All proceeds will be donated to Jubilee, our work in the world. We ll be supporting our partner church in New Orleans and programs such as the Friday Night Supper Program based here in Arlington Street Church every Friday.

ASC Community Announcements A Winter Warmth Thank You Our friends from the Friday Night Supper Program thank everyone for their generosity and report that this was the warmest winter warmth collection ever! We collected 32 scarves, 77 hats, 86 pairs of gloves, 28 pairs of socks, two jackets, and a pair of boots plus almost $300! Our thanks to Carol Fisher who built our giving tree twelve years ago and to everyone who helped create winter warmth this year. Caroling After Vespers Wednesday, December 20 th, Immediately after Vespers Join friends in the Arlington Street community for a holiday evening this coming Wednesday. After the Vespers service, we ll gather a group to sing traditional Christmas carols. Afterwards, we ll return to Arlington Street for hot cocoa! Don t miss this fun musical event. Tickets are $35 or $25 for students and seniors. All proceeds will go to our partner church: First Church New Orleans. Tickets will be sold at Coffee Hour after every Sunday service until the event.
