Jesus Right Hand September 2017 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) We are happy to come to you again through this newsletter. We are praying for you and encouraging you not to give up because you re not alone in this battle. Just because we are involved in this ministry does not mean we aren t experiencing many of the same battles that you are. We are learning what these tests are for, and why they have come our way. Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:3-4 (NIV) Good things are birthed by God and bad things are orchestrated by the evil one. Remember, Jesus experienced many trials and even faced the Cross for us. He would not allow these trials if there were no way out. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) The only way we can experience permanent victory and everlasting peace is by turning to Jesus and trusting in Him and His delivering Word. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy but Jesus came that we may have life in abundance. Now if you were having a problem with your stove you would look up the answer in the owner s manual that came with that stove. It is no different for us when we run into a life s problem. The Bible is our owner s manual. Jesus didn t die on the cross to leave us here without answers to our problems. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (2 Peter 1: 3-4) God will step aside sometimes when Satan asks to afflict us. That s what happened to Job. Satan was just so sure that Job would give up, but first he had to go to God to ask permission to tempt Job. God gave satan permission, but said he could not go so far as to kill him. Of course it was rough on Job but he stood firm and didn t give up. Satan lost his attempt to take him out. Jesus told Simon Peter, Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. Luke 22:31 (NKJV) 1 Continued on Page 2

Continued from Page 1 We know that the dark clouds are gathering. We have been preparing for the worst but expecting the best. In the last few weeks we have seen natural disasters happening on a magnitude that has never been seen before. Practical preparation is always wise in the face of disaster if we have advance warning. However it is also important to be spiritually prepared with what we ll need to bring us through these times. It s time for us to locate and prepare our spiritual first aid kit and make sure it is accessible. We have to be ready no matter what happens. It takes a strong faith to stand in such times. That s why we need to encourage and build up one another ever so much as the day approaches (Hebrews 10:25). We need faith to carry us through. Below we are going to tell you what to put into your Spiritual First Aid Kit. Fill your spiritual first aid kit with these Scripture promises that promise us safety and deliverance in times of disaster if we have faith and believe them. My Spiritual First Aid Kit A First Aid Box: You need a container to hold all the supplies. Since you first need to make sure you ve asked Jesus in your heart, YOU are the perfect vessel to hold all these supplies! Jesus: The first and most important item to put into our spiritual first aid kit is Jesus. When you have asked Jesus into your heart, it helps makes all the other things in your Spiritual First Aid kit much more understandable. On page 4 of this newsletter you ll find the prayer that will help you do this. You need to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus died to save you, but you do need to ask out loud. We can recite anything, but we must believe what we have said. A Bible: The second item you need to put into your first aid kit is your Bible. The Bible is full of God s promises from cover to cover that can deliver and protect you if you ll believe them. The Bible is your owner s manual and your first aid guide and you need to refer to it often before and during times of trouble. Fill your mind and heart with God s Word every day! Faith: The third item you re going to put in your first aid kit is faith. You ll need faith to help you trust the promises of God. It says in Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (NKJV) God does not give us a promise that He will not carry through and He does not lie. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (NKJV) You ll need faith every day and you can build it up and keep it fresh and ready by praying and reading your Bible. Prayer: The fourth item for your spiritual first aid kit is prayer. Prayer is simply communicating with God. It s important to remember that communication is a two-way conversation. God wants to talk to you too, whether it s through your Bible or in a still, small voice. Be sure to take time to be quiet during prayer and listen for His voice. Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) 2

Power: The fifth item you need to have is God s power, the Holy Spirit who comes to dwell inside of you when you ask Jesus into your heart. Just like electricity, God s Holy Spirit power is the guide and source to keep things running in your life. In the face of a crisis, fear can cripple even the strongest person, but the Holy Spirit is a guide and comfort to us.. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) God has given you this promise so you ll know that He has equipped you with His power, His love and with a sound mind. Love: The sixth item you need for your spiritual first aid kit is love, and more specifically, God s Love. If you could only realize how much He loves you and how His love flows through you to others, you would be amazed! And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV) God s love is one of the most useful items when used along with faith and hope because God s love casts out fear in your life. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18 (NKJV) Fellowship: The seventh item you are going to be adding is fellowship. God tells us it is important to keep connected with other believers during these times. not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 (NIV) This is so we can continue to encourage one another, pray for each other, encourage and strengthen one another in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. Peace: The eighth thing going into the first aid kit is peace. Peace comes from God when you trust and pray and will guard your heart and mind during the tough times. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Promises: The last thing going into your spiritual first aid kit is a list of God s promises in the Word. It s nice to have these listed separately so you can refer back to them often: In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty Psalm 37:19 (NIV) Psalm 91 (the whole chapter), particularly Psalm 91:9-12 (NKVJ) Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 46 - The entire psalm talks of everything shaking and falling but in the midst it says be still and know I am God. Verse 10 (NKJV) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Psalm 34:7 (NIV) As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore. Psalms 125:2 (NIV) 3

Prayer of Salvation Dear Heavenly Father: I have come to You asking You to make me a true child of God. I know that I m a sinner and I ask You to forgive my sins. Romans 3:23 tells me all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I want Jesus Christ to come into my heart to give me a purpose, a peace and victory in my trials and challenges. I want to live eternally with You in Heaven. I believe that Jesus lived and died on the cross and was resurrected for me. You said in Romans 10:9-10 that If I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, that I will be saved. I want to be an overcomer in all things instead of living a defeated life in many things. Thank You for loving and saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen If you prayed this prayer out loud and believe what you just prayed, that makes you a child of the Most High God. You have been born again, meaning that every sin that you have ever committed was taken away since you asked Him to forgive your sins. You are truly a new person in Christ Jesus. You have got your ticket bought to Heaven since the Bible says in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. True Bible Faith Sees The Invisible Believes The Unbelievable Receives The Impossible 4

Praise Reports In April of last year, the Madison-Warren Ecumenical Association sponsored a meal packaging event through Outreach, Inc. and 300 of those boxes came to Jesus Right Hand to warehouse in the event of a disaster or serious food crisis. We counted several times and figured this would feed 10,000 families with a total of 58,000 individual servings. We could hardly believe that God would trust us with that much! Recently the Ecumenical Association contacted us with an opportunity to send these boxes down to the areas hit by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. These boxes are now loaded on pallets that will soon be on their way to where they are needed most. How honored we were to have played a Small part in God's perfect plan to provide these people with the nutritious meals at time when there seems to be no hope. Through all this we have earned that God is never late if we are still and trust Him. Our Monday Fresh Food Giveaway has been steadily expanding and is now serving an average of 60 families each week. Since picking up donations on both Sunday and Monday from Trader Joe s, we ve had to become rather creative with cold storage. It soon became apparent there was a critical need for additional refrigeration and freezer space. We were blessed to be able to purchase two new freezerless refrigerators to keep the produce and perishable items at the proper temperature until the time of distribution. The very next week after the refrigerators were delivered the donations of refrigerated produce and perishables doubled, filling both new refrigerators to maximum capacity. Every week since the new refrigerators have arrived, the amount of food needing to be kept cold has filled both the refrigerators. This also has allowed us the extra space to store the local donations of eggs and milk that have recently been coming in each week. And once again, we have learned that God supplies our need just in time if we will only trust fully in Him! Learning to trust in God s timing reached another level when the ministry was notified about a large donation of frozen meat that would be arriving in a few days. At that time we had two large chest freezers in which to store any frozen items, but there wasn t going to be enough room for the large donation that was coming. In the next two days we received donations of three more chest freezers which were just what we needed! We are in awe of our all-knowing God who provides just what we need just as we need it! Remember what s impossible with man is possible with God. All things are possible with God. Watch your relationships. Keep reading your Bible & watch your faith grow in Jesus Name. Believe in miracles, signs and wonders. GOD IS ABOUT TO SHOW UP IN A BIG WAY! 5
