Prelude Songs with Congregation Rejoice in the Lord God never moves without purpose or plan When trying His servant and molding a man. Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long; In darkness He giveth a song. O Rejoice in the LORD, He makes no mistake, He knoweth the end of each path that I take, For when I am tried and purified, I shall come forth as gold. I could not see through the shadows ahead; So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead. I bowed to the will of the Master that day; Then peace came and tears fled away. Refrain Now I can see testing comes from above; God strengthens His children and purges in love. My Father knows best, and I trust in His care; Through purging more fruit I will bear. Refrain ~~~ How Lovely Is Your Dwelling Place How lovely is Your dwelling place, Almighty Lord There s a hunger deep inside my soul. Only in Your presence are my heart and flesh restored how lovely is Your dwelling place. In Your courts there s shelter for the greatest and the small, the sparrow has a place to build her nest. The pilgrim finds refreshment in the rains that fall, and each one has the strength to meet the test. Refrain 2 A single day is better when spent in humble praise, than a thousand days of living without You. The Lord bestows His favor on each one who obeys, and blessings on the man whose heart is true. Refrain

Welcome! Please let us know that you are here by filling out the Let s Get Acquainted card and drop it in the offering bag. PRAISE The Call to Worship Psalm 98:1-6 Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord! 3

The Doxology 5

RENEWAL The Call to Renewal based on Daniel 9:4-19 O Lord, great God, all holy, Father most gracious, filled with mercy and steadfast love, we are embarrassed to come before you, for we have preferred the ways of this world to your ways, for we have rebelled against your wisdom and we have gotten into trouble, for we have rejected your fatherly guidance and have gotten lost altogether. To you belongs righteousness, O Lord, and to us confusion of face. O Lord, great God, all holy, filled with awe, Father, most gracious, filled with mercy and steadfast love, Incline your ear to our troubles. Hear us when we pour out our sorrows before you. Forgive us, not on the ground of our own righteousness, but on the ground of your great mercy. On the ground of your great mercy in the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in his name that we pray, for he is our Savior and the mediator of the covenant of grace. Amen. 6

The Hymn of Preparation Come, for the Feast Is Spread, #480 9

The Sacrament of the Lord s Supper Communion, also called The Lord s Supper or the Eucharist, is the family meal for Christians. We invite all committed followers of Jesus Christ to partake of this sacrament: those who are baptized members of an evangelical congregation that proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ, who are at peace with God and with their neighbor, and who seek strength to live more faithfully for Christ. If you are not a Christian, or if you are not prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer. We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with His people, the church. Prayers of Meditation for Those Not Communing If you are unable to receive Communion, please use this time to meditate on one of the following prayers. Prayer for Those Searching for Truth Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Grant that I might be undaunted by the cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and open to me the reality of who you are. Give me an understanding of you that is coherent, convincing, and that leads to the life that you promise. Amen. Prayer of Belief Lord Jesus, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever before believed, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment on the cross, and offering forgiveness and new life. Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior and Lord. Amen. *The communion juice is in the center & the wine is on the outer. *The communion bread is gluten-free.
