Amen. EXHORTATION Beloved in the Lord! Let us draw near with a true heart and confess our sins unto God our Father, beseeching Him in the name of our Lord Jesus hrist to grant us forgiveness. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. ONFESSION and ABSOLUTION O almighty God, merciful Father, I, a poor, miserable sinner, confess unto You all my sins and iniquities with which I have ever offended You and justly deserved Your temporal and eternal punishment. But I am heartily sorry for them and sincerely repent of them, and I pray You of Your boundless mercy and for the sake of the holy, innocent, bitter sufferings and death of Your beloved Son, Jesus hrist, to be gracious and merciful to me, a poor, sinful being. Upon this your confession, I, by virtue of my office, as a called and ordained servant of the Word, announce the grace of God unto all of you, and in the stead and by the command of my Lord Jesus hrist I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit. 1
Amen. T WORD T INTROIT s 71:15-18 (antiphon 71:12) 12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. 16 With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. 17 O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. 18 So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen. 12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! KYRIE 2

OFFERING We gather our tithes, gifts of love, and our Building Together in Faith gifts. (lease stand) RAYERS OF THE HURH Let us pray for the whole hurch of God in hrist Jesus and for all people according to their needs. Glorious Father, in Your great mercy You sent forth Your Son to atone for the sins of the whole world, and He established a hurch by His blood. Renew Your hurch and strengthen the resolve of Your people in difficult and dangerous times, that they may be faithful in every circumstance. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. O merciful Lord, You have called Your pastors and missionaries to become fishers for men by proclaiming the whole counsel of Your Word. Guard them in their task, and give them courage and zeal. Bless us through their faithful preaching of Your Law and Gospel, that we may be set free through forgiveness to serve You with our whole heart, mind, body and strength. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Blessed Lord, through Your Word preached and taught, You equip Your people for the fulfillment of their baptismal vocations. Bless especially the young men, that they may hear Your call to the pastoral office, and sustain those who are now being trained for this holy calling. Bless the young women, that they may hear Your call to be deaconesses, teachers, directors of hristian education or to serve as they are able to do the noble work of Your Kingdom, and sustain those now being educated for these paths. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Almighty God, all things are Yours and all authority has its source in You. Bless us with good leaders in government and enable us to be good citizens, both working together for the common good of all people. Bring Your peace to bear where war, violence and terrorism threaten, and protect those who defend us. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Loving God, as Your Son bestowed the healing gifts of Your grace, so bestow upon the sick, the suffering, the wounded in spirit and the dying the fullness of Your grace. (Especially do we pray on behalf of and those named in our hearts.) Give to the suffering relief and the sick healing, according to Your will, and give them patience under the burden of their afflictions until that day when we shall no more be troubled by the weakness of flesh and shall see our bodies made new as hrist s own glorious flesh in the resurrection of the dead. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. 6
Into Your hands, O Lord, we commend ourselves and all for whom we pray, trusting in Your mercy, through Jesus hrist, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. LORD S RAYER Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. IN REGARD TO HOLY OMMUNION: According to Scripture, Holy ommunion should be celebrated by those who are: United in a common faith (1 or. 10:16-17, 21-22; Rom. 16:17); Repentant of sins (1 or. 5:11, Matt. 18:17-18); Able to examine their lives (1 or. 11:27-29); and believe that in this precious meal they receive the true body and blood of Jesus given and shed for the forgiveness of their sins (Luke 22:19-22). Since Scripture teaches that those people who do not fully understand the meaning of this meal eat and drink to their own harm (1or. 11:27-29), and because the Lord s Supper is the supreme act of stating our unity in faith and doctrine, we would ask those people who are visiting with us to please speak with one of our pastors, before communing, in order that we might fulfill our responsibility of properly instructing people in the right use of the precious Sacrament. T SERVIE OF THE SARAMENT T REFAE The Lord be with you. And with thy spirit. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up unto the Lord. Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God. It is meet and right so to do. It is truly good, right, and salutary that we should at all times and in all places give thanks to You, holy Lord, almighty Father, everlasting God, through Jesus hrist, our Lord; for what had been hidden from before the foundation of the world You have made known to the 7
nations in Your Son. In Him, being found in the substance of our mortal nature, You have manifested the fullness of Your glory. Therefore, with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven we laud and magnify Your glorious name, evermore praising You and saying: SANTUS WORDS OF OUR LORD Matt 26:26 28; Mk 14:22 24; Lk 22:19 20; 1 or 11:23 25 AX DOMINI The peace of the Lord be with you always.
