Purpose Disciple We are committed to disciple families by showing individuals and families sound biblical principles on which to build their homes and help them establish it in their families. (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; Colossians 2:6). Equip We are committed to equipping parents, especially men, to step into their God-given role as parents, fathers as priests, prophets and providers in the home, and in turn, to lead and teach their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4; Titus 2:1-8). Facilitate We are committed to creating space for families to spend time together (Ephesians 5:16). We encourage you to spend more time around your family table enjoying one another s company, or engaging in Christian hospitality toward your neighbors. Encourage Our desire is to uphold and encourage families to be all God wants them to be, since the strength of the church is dependent upon the strength of individual families (Deuteronomy 6:7; Ephesians 6:1-4). Nurture We are committed to rally around families in times of rejoicing and times of mourning, nurturing them during the highs and lows of their experience. (Romans 12:15; 1 Corinthians 12:26; Hebrews 13:3). Duplicate We have been blessed with many families that exemplify the best the biblical model has to offer. These families are not perfect, but they have gone far enough down the road to help others who are just starting out (Titus 2:1-5).

WHO ARE WE? We are members that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and our Children s Church here at First Northeast Baptist Church. We are looking to advance our children in the knowledge of the Lord and to instruct them to live, show, and do His will. We are also looking to prepare our children as they move from downstairs to the sanctuary in a smooth transition to where they will be able to sit and understand the message from the pastor.

WHERE ARE WE GOING? The Children s Church is preparing for our new facilities. We are looking to advance our children in the word of the Lord. To insure that all volunteers are well prepared with the directions that the church is looking to move. Training will be available to get us ready for the move.

OUR CURRICULUM Our lessons are coming from The Life Bible Study. The lessons are geared for pre-school to middle school. This curriculum started with Genesis telling the story of the Beginning. We are now into the book of Exodus, studying how God can use people to do his will.

G.I.G.S. is a systematic mentoring program 6 th grade -12 th grade Address specific issues and interest of today s world Designed to engage and teach

Vision Focus: Youth Beholding and Becoming Like Christ 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT) So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Spirit makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Each leader should not only teach the Word of God, but also be a devoted Christian that lives a life pleasing to God.

Leaders mentor between 6-10 youth (depending on size of group) within the same sex to offer a loving safe haven where each youth member can be vulnerable, accountable, and taught the Word of God.

Addresses specific issues of today s world in ways youth can relate and understand. We aim to regularly engage the youth in discussion so that they feel a sense of comfort, friendship, accountability to their mentors and peers.

Throughout the year, youth and their leaders will participate in some form of community service/ outreach project to give back to the community and openly share the gospel.
